When Bengal shines, it sheds light on the whole nation.

𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗶! A major connectivity push is gathering pace across the northern districts of Bengal. State officials have confirmed that the long-pending 180 km Siliguri Ring Road has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) after remaining stalled for years. The 3rd Mile–Lebong Circular Road has also been approved and is expected to be completed within a year, helping ease traffic congestion in Darjeeling. Meanwhile, RITES is carrying out feasibility surveys for 7 proposed ropeway projects, including the Ghoom–Darjeeling route. Helicopter services connecting Bagdogra, Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Mirik are also planned. In addition, land is being identified near Siliguri for the proposed AIIMS, IIT and IIM campuses. While these initiatives are at different stages of approval and implementation, they collectively signal a significant infrastructure and connectivity push for the region.
