It also went to other intervals like cameras and processors, making phones thinner (in some cases), and improving water and dust resistance. I'll gladly trade it for any of those benefits.

Digital design used to be based off of real things. An audio player used to look like a radio, the notepad app would look like an actual notepad, etc. it was so people could get used to digital interfaces quicker. But now that tech accessible and normal, we didn’t need it anymore.
