What a good life. I'm struggling big time with parenting my wonderful teenagers (the adult two of whom aren't speaking with me), and it hurts like hell to let go of what I wanted parenting to look like... ... and the birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and I'm breathing.

@whale I’ve read potter series twice but it definitely doesn’t provide the same level of brain happiness to me as Tolkien. I’ve never heard of Wingfeather! I’ll check it out. I just finished the Hyperion series. Really good.

Listening to The Hobbit again for probably the 8th or 9th reading. Read it at least 4, listened the rest. Comforting to know a story this well. I often read it when I'm moving through difficult stuff.

@secondfret Wild. Can't wait to listen. do you have any of the same affinity for the Harry Potter series? The other ones that I enjoyed were the Wingfeather Saga. Have you heard of it?

@whale Recently finished The Hobbit and am on Fellowship. He does the voices so well. Merry, Pippin, and Sam all have the same accents as in the films. He switches between them effortlessly.
