@E2pexAutpwY9S0V @shanghaidaily It could be a domestic mainlander. In the Chinese context, a lot of the time, the term "migrant worker" refers to a domestic mainlander from another part of China who has moved for work. It's not necessarily 100% clear, but I would say likely to refer to a domestic mainlander.

@WhereHowardGoes @learning_yohei When you say ”used” it implies that it is used in the everyday Japanese language, which i still don’t agree with since it’s used specifically only for these noodles. Just for the sake of it I brought out a kanji dictionary and like i suspected this kanji is no where to be found.

@PsychoSilk @learning_yohei So... as I mentioned in my reply. It is USED in Japan. Even if the context is only in relation to those noodles, it is nonetheless USED in Japan. The character is used in Chinese in the context of those noodles too, by the way. x.com/WhereHowardGoe…

@PsychoSilk @learning_yohei "No one is saying that Kanji isn't originally from China." Community note proposed does because it only says "original of this character is ZH, not JP". "It is not [used in Japan]". Yes it is. See pic below as well as youtube.com/watch?v=P1RuJa… and x.com/learning_yohei….

@WhereHowardGoes @learning_yohei The issue is that the original poster implied that this is used in Japan, which it is not. No one is saying that kanji isn’t originally from China.

Today is the ninth anniversary of the BBC Dad blooper. Marion is now 13; James is now 9. Some recent pictures are attached below. We did an interview looking back on the blooper for @InsideEdition, which should be up shortly. 1 youtube.com/watch?v=Mh4f9A…
