Gary Lineker on winning the National TV Award, "It's not lost on me why I might have won this award" "Aside from presenting Match of the Day, the most iconic football show for 26 years" "Also, I think it demonstrates that perhaps it's ok sometimes to use our platform to speak up on behalf of those who have no voice" @GaryLineker Legend 👏

Brace myself every time I come here, hoping insults I’ll see will be witty rather than make me ask why I do this 🙄 Seeing something nice is so rare, it made me smile enough to share. Obvs not, but lovely of you to suggest. Cheers @LabBeyondCities 🌹 newstatesman.com/politics/uk-po…

£450. That’s how much the average parents will save with @UKLabour’s new breakfast clubs. Delighted to be in Margate today with @PollyBLabour for their launch.

This👇social rent is set at 80% of market rent. It’s too high for working people who aren’t entitled to Housing Benefit and keeps those on HB trapped on benefits.
CodaQueen@CodaQueen

@lewis_goodall Plus affordable housing needs to be genuinely affordable. I'm a single mum on my local council list waiting for housing. I work full-time but, when they put 2 bed flats that are new 'affordable' housing at £1k+ per month rent, I simply can't afford that. 1/2

The Taliban are driving women to live in the Stone Age. An ideology that hates and kills women. Denying basic healthcare shows how expendable afghani women are to these male rulers.

**PETITION** SAVE ENGLISH LITERATURE AT CANTERBURY CHRIST CHURCH UNIVERSITY I’ve taught English in Canterbury for 20 years. Now, as Cabinet Member for Culture & Heritage, seeing CCCU deciding to close their English degree is I believe, short sighted tinyurl.com/4n5yyfyt

Saw a church called ‘Winners Chapel International’ applying for permission to open in a disused leisure centre in Ashford Naming convention meant my surprise was only mild when it turned out they’re a homophobic Nigeria-based Protestant group kentonline.co.uk/ashford/news/c…

Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her. The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you.
