@NephRodby I usually do a 24 hr creat clearance the day prior to the 1st HD of the week (allowing for 2 day break). But I’m not aware of any evidence to show that’s the most accurate clinical way to determine ‘close to true’ GFR.

ESRD pt on HD. Makes a liter of urine, creatinine 3.5 day after dialysis. I think he may not need RRT. Can I do a 24 hour creatinine clearance to determine his GFR even though creatinine climbing every day off HD, or do I have to wait until it levels off? #askrenal
