Beware: @Free2Move only reimburses for a max of $25 for gas, and only if the pump printer was kind enough to work, which you won't know until after. (hint: it didn't). Despite my CC charge from Exxon during the trip + photos of the pump showing total and unit cost, no joy.

Beware: @Free2Move doesn't appear to actively monitor maintenance indicators. A "low tire pressure" indicator was actually a totally shredded tire that had obv. been driven on its rims... but that @Free2Move listed as ready to drive. Next nearest car: 40 minute walk.

@eddelbuettel It's something that has been a bit tricky to search for and I was hoping to be able to alert them to anything they need to beware of that can cause unnecessary challenges. Glad to hear that it is relatively painless and that the docs on cran / RStudio (or Posit) should suffice.

Has anyone any useful guides for setting up #RStats on a server for running shiny apps? I'm not the sysadmin so I am hoping for something pretty comprehensive to avoid much to&froing. Because of data agreements we can't easily use an external server already configured for shiny.

Was repeatedly told off by multiple @amazon @AmazonHelp customer service reps yesterday while trying to resolve a trivial billing issue because "rewards can't be used for digital content." Someone should tell their web team.

@AmazonHelp After 3 calls, 5 different employees, and a lost 1.5 hours of time, yes, the issue was resolved. Not a good use of your time or mine. At the end, the $1.99 transaction was completed.

What tweetable #rstats function have you written recently to reduce duplication in your data analysis code? I'm looking for some inspiration as I re-write the functions chapter in R4DS.

@DanChaltiel The request was for examples of functions that reduce repetition/avoid errors. Having ! and %in% separated is a common source of errors in code (the ! gets misplaced) and is difficult to read in English: "If not A in A, B, C..." vs. "If A not in A, B, C..."

You select 4 lines of R code in @RStudio and run them. Unfortunately, line 2 emits an error! Would you expect RStudio to stop execution, or to continue running lines 3 and 4? #RStats
