While I'm incredibly proud to help lead the charge to save beagles across the country, I'm also co-sponsor of the Save America’s Forgotten Equines Act to ban horse slaughter and stop the export of American horses for slaughter abroad. Met with members of The Jockey Club to discuss this important bill.

Banning cultured meat because it threatens cattle ranchers is like banning electric cars because it threatens the oil industry. We as a society should not tolerate this level of blatant corruption.

@Lewis_Bollard Yes! Exactly. We are all born with the moral intuition to protect animals; it’s not a partisan trait. Both parties need to start answering to their constituents and not the highest paying special interests.

Prominent conservatives are speaking out against animal abuse in labs and on factory farms. This isn't new. Sen. Bob Dole (R-KS) led the last two major federal animal welfare reforms — for farm animals in 1978 and lab animals in 1985. That was 40 years ago. Since then, the pharma and factory farm lobbies have captured both parties and blocked every serious federal reform. Now they're trying to wipe out the strongest state animal welfare laws too — through the Save Our Bacon Act buried in the farm bill. They're try to sell this as a conservative policy. It isn't.

URGENT: It’s time for Pro-Animal conservatives to make ourselves heard. Please share this and call Senator @JohnBoozman at (202) 224-4843 and call your home state’s Senators and let them know you stand with patriots like @realannapaulina & @TomiLahren in defending animals, small farmers, & the US Constitution and want the SOB Act taken out of the Farm Bill. The SOB Act gives away the right of States to set their own standards for how farmed animals are treated. As Americans, it’s imperative that we refuse to let CCP-owned corporations and other special interests regulate our food supply and animal welfare standards. We must stand up for animals and for liberty.

The only bacon the “Save Our Bacon Act” is actually saving is China’s. This isn’t just a states’ rights issue or an animal welfare issue, it’s a national security issue. China already controls roughly 25% of the American pork industry. Why would Congress pass legislation that further strengthens Beijing’s grip on America’s food supply?

Most House Republicans showed they are out of step with the Republican base on the SOB Act. @repluna tried to add an amendment to the Farm Bill to have it removed, but the Farm Bill passed without it. A quick search on any social media platform will show you that Republican voters do NOT want this egregious bill, which is a big government power grab gives away state sovereignty on protecting animals and cedes control of our food supply to China & Factory Farm conglomerates.
