Today’s garden chores, on the way out for my very late-starting walk (I’ve consistently hit my steps all month!!!) is acidifying the soil around my hydrangea to get blue-er flowers, and removing those energy-sapping side buds from my main-character dahlias. “Totally Tangerine” 🔥

My surgery went well yesterday - thank you everyone for all the kind words and prayers. I know this corner of ours means it when they say it. Lotta pain, but that's to be expected. Now lemme put a smile on your face: We've done this so many times with old shelter dogs, and the pattern is almost always the same - when they get here, they're usually nervous and quiet; unsure of what is in store and what their life is gonna be like. After being here with me, @obxdogwalker and the rest of the dogs, they start to relax and be the dog they wanna be; the dog they were or could have been before they were abandoned. Molly was so quiet and reserved when we got her, and now? Yeah. She's right at home, letting me know I need to get off my ass and feed her. Love to see it. And I'm grateful to all of you.

@deaflibertarian On one road trip at two different hotels I was given keys to some one elses room and walked in to occupied rooms completely by suprise . Dont trust hotel/motel staff with your personal well being. Both times ended as well as could be expected , but still.

Was I unreasonable to request a room change at the hotel because it had a shared door to another room?
