@DisneyPlus I'll be cancelling my Disney+ service the same day that the announced generative AI feature is added. There is no way on Earth to make that safe for kids, so I'll just cancel the service rather than let it into my house.

There's a really cool detail about the Hunters in Halo Campaign Evolved! When you shoot the unarmored part of a Hunter, a lot of worms will fly out and start crawling away. #Halo

@Generalkidd In other words, the colony dies as a collective mind, scattering the individuals back to being a bunch of lesser intelligences. It still means the hunter dies when one worm is killed, but also means the worms could gather again to form a new mind later on. Much scarier, honestly.

@Generalkidd In Halo: Ghosts of Onyx we see Spartan Will shove his hand into a Lekgolo torso to crush just one worm in his hand which kills the whole.
But again, this is not a bad change. It could kill the consciousness by disrupting the colony hive mind without killing the individual worms.

Alyssa Mercante reached out to the White House about their use of (AI) Halo/Master Chief in social media posts to talk about ending the console war and promote ICE. They responded with the following crazy message:
•(Press Secretary Kush Desai): "Yet another war ended under President Trump's watch-only one leader is fully committed to giving power to the players, and that leader is Donald J. Trump. That's why he's hugely popular with the American people and American Gamers”.
•(Department of Homeland Security): "We will reach people where they are with content they can relate to and understand, whether that be Halo, Pokémon, Lord of The Rings, or any other medium. DHS remains laser focused on bringing awareness to the flood of crime that criminal illegal aliens have inflicted on our country. We aren't slowing down.”

@Unyshek I'd let you carry 2 pieces of equipment and switch between them since one of those items will likely be a health pack 90% of the time, and when your health is low and no health pack is available, you may need that second equipment to survive.

@Unyshek My "perfect" solution to Campaign Evolved's health: Reach's hybrid health -> Infinite/H3 style equipment -> jackal shields as equipment -> carriable health packs as equipment -> switch equipment button -> difficulty changes max health packs that can be carried at once.

@Unyshek I wouldn't say I've gotten a whole lot of traction on my concern since most people are thinking about the art style, but I hope my concern about the horror element is logically laid out enough to convince someone that the health bar is important even if not my "perfect" solution.

@HiddenXperia @Unyshek I'm also concerned about the gameplay. Chiefly, in fact. The health system should require health packs to ensure the horror element of the Flood. I know you agree Luc. I don't want this being buried so that @Unyshek misses its importance. Needs horror.

Liked: The cinematics.
Genuinely the best we've had since the trilogy (I'm a sucker for H2C and H3's framing and shot design), and I cannot wait to see more. Genuinely not felt as giddy about something Halo related as I do about the cutscenes rn in a very very long time
Updated: The aesthetic.
This is a Halo 1 Remake, not Halo Infinite: Evolved. I think the Infinite designs (mostly) look great, but they look nothing like Halo 1, which I find to be a really ironic misstep given that's one of if not THE main issue people had with CEA - we wanted a CE Remaster, not Halo Reach: Evolved. We're retreading the exact same mistakes again with the remake which instead should've featured actual Halo 1 designs and design language translated into modern high fidelity.
It absolutely can be done, there are a billion and one modern high fidelity recreations of almost every asset in Halo 1, from the Marines and Elites to the weapons, vehicles, blamite crystals and Covenant crates
They can and SHOULD be carried forward, not replaced with assets and designs from a totally unrelated game

@LordFriezah @Unyshek Grappleshot is not a good idea with Halo CE. The level design does not support it. They'd have to completely redesign the entire game just to satisfy this one feature. Not worth it, and not a good idea anyway.
That said, Halo Infinite style equipment sounds dope. Jackal Shields.
