@JonStewartIL What you have written is completely untrue. Yet you post this time and time again making you look more and more like a total lunatic. You never engage or do even the slightest bit of research. X is full of people like you at the moment rage baiting and peddling lies.

The camera that took this picture, a Hasselblad, was not protected in any way from solar radiation.
The moon unlike Earth is in direct intense sunlight as it has no atmosphere or magnetosphere.
The Kodak film would have been destroyed… this picture could not have been taken on the moon.

@ProvisionistP “So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter.” - also Paul.

The long arm of Catholicism reaches to every craft beer tap on earth
In the 17th century, Paulaner monks in Munich faced 40 days of Lent with zero solid food
Their solution: brew a beer so thick and calorie-dense it could replace bread
They called it Sankt-Vaters-Bier: Holy Father Beer
Then they worried it was too delicious to count as sacrifice
So they shipped a barrel to the Pope for judgment
It spoiled crossing the Alps
The Pope tasted it, declared drinking something so foul was penance enough, and gave his blessing
That beer became the Doppelbock
You can still buy it today
It is called Salvator

@CreativeWolf Outlook on Artemis II is probably trying to ping a Microsoft service on Earth, and it is not getting a timely response. Things like this are difficult to test until you get far enough outside of the expected environment. Earth orbit is not far enough away.

@OldWest1453 @AppyOrtho My father was born in the 1920’s. In the fall, school let out so the children could pick cotton. Everyone picked cotton.
English

@AppyOrtho No, only blacks ever picked cotton. Which is why Merle Haggard wrote a song about it. LOL.

@ComeHometoRome “Again, in spite of that, we call this Friday good.”

@ChrisMartzWX Read Mark Twain’s “The Mysterious Stranger”. The idea you are describing is not new and is perhaps the most horrific thing imaginable.
English

@WorldWatching3 No. To be honest, hearing it once was enough. I did learn how to slow down my Kodak camera shutter to 1/30 of a second with a dead flash cube to match the scan rate of the television screen so I could photograph Alan Bean in Apollo 12. Doubt that picture survived.
English

@WilliamHBoyd2 I did not hear the Apollo 8 broadcast, although I was already an Apollo program fan boy at 4, with Apollo posters in my room. Are you still able to play the Apollo 11 recording?
English

@PeterSweden7 Yes, but your posts have been appearing in English for some time.

@wendelltalks They don’t make evangelicals like they used to.

@walterkirn Colbert should be careful reaching for that ring. No doubt he intends to recruit nine former talk show wraiths to support him in his quest.

I hear Colbert will be writing all the big movies going forward.

@AndrewPetiprin Never thought about being Catholic rests upon having an absolute claim to truth, and having an absolute claim to truth is downright difficult if there is no absolute truth to be claimed.
English

All the more reason he cannot be Catholic, because the unifying principle of this flexibility is no absolute truth claims (i.e. not Catholic).
Pascal-Emmanuel Gobry@pegobry_en
Well ok except that the King of England is also the Head of the (Presbyterian) Church of Scotland which means he’s an Anglican except when he’s in Scotland when he becomes Presbyterian. So I feel like there’s some Anglo flexibility there.

@johncwright2001 @ChrisMartzWX You can tell what leftist liberals are doing by what they accuse you of doing. Despite having owned the arts for more than a century, they seem to have lost all imagination. Or, maybe they have come to experience what priests say about sin. It’s boring and all the same.
English

@ChrisMartzWX Sufferers of Trump derangement will not fall silent after Trump leaves. They suffered Bush derangement before him, and will suffer Vance derangement after.
They hate reality, truth, justice, the American way, and God Almighty. The hatred is suicidal.
Not going anywhere.

@AndrewPetiprin Barbarians used to smash things which required effort on their part. Now they need only delete and ignore. Civilization has never been more fragile.

My latest. One more take on Timothée Chalamet's unfortunate comments about ballet and opera. I explore here what I did not see amid all the reactions: What his attitude says about our culture's fundamental relationship with the past. spesalviinstitute.com/post/mr-chalam…

@lampwright4 There’s no benefit to lightning to strike one target rather than another. There are huge benefits to making sure an election goes the way you want. Why wouldn’t there be cheating?
English

Why is the government not sharing what they are finding in places like Fulton County with Congress?
Senator Patty Murray@PattyMurray
The average person is more likely to be struck by lightning than they are to commit voter fraud. Seriously. That's a real stat. I'm voting NO on the SAVE America Act.

@SolaScriptura60 @JimSanoBC79 Why should any of us bother with the scripture anymore if we have heard and read it all already? What is it we hope to learn?
English

@JimSanoBC79 Roman Catholic tradition is not “sacred”.
It’s a man-made addition to Scripture that was unknown to Christ and the apostles.
English

@SolaScriptura60 @JimSanoBC79 Then how can Jesus say there are many more things for the apostles to learn they are not ready for yet, and why does he tell them the Holy Spirit will lead them into all truth if they have already heard it. And why do some in Jerusalem have trouble with Paul?
English

@AndrewPetiprin Do you know “Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano” by Claude Bolling which Bolling recorded playing jazz piano with Jean Pierre Rampall playing flute? Bolling made other jazz-classical fusion recordings as well. They are all sweet suites as the vinyl LP album covers attest.
