It is imperative that the dairy industry in Southwest Scotland is not compromised. This is why I sought assurances that dairy farming will be protected, regardless of the national park decision. I was happy to hear that the Cabinet Secretary has offered these assurances.

Wood burning stoves on new builds banned. This is absolutely bonkers. Missed this consultation. Many rural homes heated with sustainable wood grown on farms & crofts. Keeps costs down. Key part of rural self catering experience. @MairiGougeon

Do let me know - I introduced Dr Chris to the delights of Cream O' Galloway - since they were retail and available in local supermarkets - So I took them as a 'clean label' ' producer benchmark since I had been assessing industrial ice cream (2018) - & we used to drop by on the way back from Mull - Sadly @creamogalloway will be changing owners; and Mackie's for some bizarre reason use glycerol (= soft scoop) - Ingredients in vanilla is the simplest assessment before other flavours or 'inclusions' go in: choc chip pieces etc

Son's 5th birthday coming up & we're home cooking for his party to avoid UPF. Looking for non UPF ice cream caterer as birthday treat. Curious re @_dawlicious seems local & natural @PHCukorg anyone come across this business or tried their products? breakfast today #realfood 💪

Cows and calves went out to grass this morning. We’ve been waiting for a spell of warmer weather. Fingers crossed!

Our ice cream is transported throughout Scotland and N England. Every link of the chain does add to the risk to its quality. We had a crazy period 10 years ago when it was shipped to S Korea. All possible but so energy intensive!
