Wing partner @chriszeoli has been digging into something most people overlook in the AI boom. Everyone talks about Nvidia. But the real chokepoint? Memory. AI models are so hungry for data that the chips doing the "thinking" spend most of their time just waiting for memory to feed them fast enough. Solve that, and you unlock everything. Three companies control that bottleneck: SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron. Together they're projected to make 2-3x what Meta earns in 2026. Getting a new competitor up to speed would take $30-50 billion and a decade. Read Chris's full breakdown to understand where the real margin in AI actually lives wing.vc/content/the-me…

"We see general models as powerful tools that we use very often, but they’re setting the floor for enterprises. We help companies use their data to build specialized agents that set the ceiling." Thank you @NasdaqExchange and @Wing_VC for having us.

Stop token maxxing 🛑 Our CEO @ashashutosh sat down with @a16z General Partner Peter Levine to discuss why we’re moving beyond the vector database: "85% of an agent’s work isn't the model; it's the underlying system. Why are we using human interfaces for machine-to-machine work?" The Pinecone Nexus Impact (Coding Agent → Agentic RAG → Pinecone Nexus): 📉 Tokens: 528,301 → 49,103 → 6,733 ⏱️ Latency: 84.1s → 37.9s → 22.7s 🎯 Accuracy: 0.585 → 0.413 → 0.680 Stop asking your LLM to do the heavy lifting of data curation. Use the knowledge engine to compile context on the fly. 🏗️ Listen to the full deep dive into Pinecone Nexus and the future of knowledge infrastructure for agents. 👂Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/2RAllt… 👂Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/fro…

Proud to back @sfcompute
Sumeet Singh@sumeet724

I am thrilled to announce Worldbuild I, a $30M fund to partner with founders when conviction cannot be outsourced. I sat down with @alexrkonrad to share our story (link below). We are a thesis-driven firm that focuses on the nuances, runs toward new ideas, and aims to lead with original thought. Worldbuilders we aspire to partner with create new categories, play infinite games, and produce a gravitational pull of attention – just as the most ambitious founders & creatives in history have done. While quietly laying the foundations for the firm, we have been fortunate to partner with founders at the earliest stages of their journeys, including Evan at SF Compute, Paul at Browserbase, Srikanth at Truffle, Baiju at Aetherflux, and more. Worldbuild is in many ways a culmination of my life experience and what will now be my life’s work. I have always found myself surrounded by entrepreneurs: my dad, my wife, my best friends; and there is nothing more fulfilling than being their consigliere and first call. If you’re building your world, I'd love to connect.

The black box era is ending. AI dev has felt like guesswork for too long, but @GoodfireAI is finally bringing software rigor to model building with Silico. This is the debugger the industry has been waiting for. Congrats @ericho_goodfire and team!
Goodfire@GoodfireAI

Introducing Silico: the platform for building AI models with the precision of written software. Silico lets researchers and engineers see inside their models, debug failures, and intentionally design them from the ground up. Early access is open now. 🧵(1/10)

Wing Partner, @chriszeoli just published a new piece and it's worth your time. Every time you use an AI tool, two things happen: it reads your prompt, then it generates a response. Sounds simple, but under the hood they couldn't be more different. That gap is exactly what two of the biggest deals in AI this year are trying to solve. Nvidia acquiring Groq for $20 Billion and Cerebras partnering with AWS got covered as separate news stories. Chris argues they're actually the same bet, and that whoever controls the routing layer between them controls the margin. If you're following where AI infrastructure is headed, read this one. Check out his latest Substack 👇

One of the biggest questions for AI startups right now: should you build your own model, or keep using the APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and others? @tanayj has a clear answer in his latest Substack newsletter, and it's more nuanced than "yes" or "no." He breaks down: → Why some companies (like Intercom and Cursor) are training their own specialized models → The real risks of going this route (hint: a new base model can wipe out months of work overnight) → When it actually makes sense to start, and what to do before you get there Short version: most early-stage AI companies shouldn't be training yet. But you should be collecting the right data now so you're ready when the time comes. Read more below👇

Last week we rang the Nasdaq Closing Bell! @DustHQ was ranked #2 on the 2026 Enterprise Tech 30, Early Stage, and Wing VC and Nasdaq invited the ET30 companies to NYC to celebrate. Seeing Dust's name on the Nasdaq tower was surreal when not too long ago @spolu and I were just two people convinced that having the right context at the right moment enables better decisions, and then built a product around that conviction. It doesn't change the fact that there's so much still to be done. Everything is still high variance, but it does make me grateful for the team that got us here. The sheer energy and care they put into the work is the only reason any of this is real and why I know we have a shot at what comes next. Thank you to @Wing_VC and @Nasdaq for the moment!
