@DavidColtart @CityofBulawayo Waste of city council resources. Was that parade necessary in a city where roads are riddled with potholes and city is struggling to give water to it's residents? 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️

For the first time in over a decade our @CityofBulawayo vintage Daimler vehicle was used to deliver the Mayoress & Town Clerk Mr C Dube to the opening of the 2025 ZITF. I was unable to join them as I was at the Presidential lunch held just before the opening. The Daimler vehicle had been left unserviceable in the basement of our rates hall for years. We managed to raise private donations to repair the Daimler and to secure parts for this 70 year old vehicle in the UK. I am indebted to an old school friend of mine and retired @emirates Boeing 777 Captain Chris Brittlebank who sourced the spares in the UK. This exceptionally valuable asset of the City of #Bulawayo has now been restored to its full grandeur for future generations. Although this vehicle doesn’t provide water or jobs its restoration is symbolic of our plan to restore all the grandeur of our City in the years ahead.

I have been advocating for POLITICS to be introduced as a module from Form One. It would help cure a lot of ignorance about governance! Nelson Chamisa did not retire from politics; he left CCC after making many catastrophic decisions that led to its demise—decisions many others condemned as they were being made, yet his cultic following insulted critics. Many Zimbabweans struggle because they do not take responsibility for their decisions. It is always someone else’s fault. I do not operate like that—I say things as they are, and I am not afraid of backlash from ghost accounts. Real men and women stand up for what they believe in and do not just get swayed by the wind! Chamisa took over from Morgan Tsvangirai unconstitutionally, and many told him at the time that the way he was going about it was opening a passage for ZANUPF to target the party. He was supported by the cultic following he inherited from Tsvangirai, whom I shall refer to as MT. He was supported when he took over because many understood that nobody is bigger than the party or the cause. He lost the party to crooked Douglas Mwonzora because of another unconstitutional decision made by MT when he appointed Chamisa vice president of the MDC-T in July 2016, alongside Elias Mudzuri. These appointments were made at the instigation of the regime after General Engelbert Rugeje advised MT to sort out his party after being diagnosed with cancer. We also told them at the time that these appointments were unconstitutional and would cause problems, yet again, the cultic followers supported this bad decision and called us ZANUPF. When MT died, NC took over the party but failed to prevail over ZANUPF in 2018. That was due to rigging, so it was understandable that it was not his fault as he went into an election only 5 months after taking over. However, after the formation of CCC, he made catastrophic one-man decisions, sidelining all the key players and introducing the embarrassing Bereka Mwana nonsense. The cultic following supported him even as we warned them that running a party without structures or a constitution would have dire consequences. The abuse from the cultic followers is well documented—it even shocked diplomats that a party that purports to drive for change could be so toxic! Chamisa got over two million votes, however the decisions he made, despite being warned of the consequences, came back to haunt him. But, as always, the cultic doesn’t think critically around these issues. It was all Tshabangu’s fault. Few ask how crooked Tshabangu managed to do it, which fault lines did he exploit? It is an inconvenient question because it leads us back to the absence of a constitution and structures. Instead, they mobilise clowns to peddle lies about those who critique the opposition! Chamisa then resigned after what many, including Dr Alex Magaisa, had warned about—there was no constitution, there were no structures, and that facilitated crooked Tshabangu to do what he did with the help of the corrupt state. He resigned after getting two million votes. It is tragically stupid for any person to say we cannot talk about a man who was given millions of votes in good faith simply because he chose to avoid scrutiny by cowardly resigning instead of fighting on to defend the interests of the voters. It bring into question our education system. Chamisa is popular, not because he did anything remotely extraordinary, but because he inherited the goodwill of MT, which he went on to squander. Today, Zimbabwe’s opposition is in disarray because of Chamisa, not just Mnangagwa! I hate dishonest and ignorant analysis that is meant to bootlick politicians at the expense of a whole nation whose hopes he destroyed because of his paranoia, deep insecurity around competent people, and a history of selfishness! You can’t be so highly undemocratic in opposition and claim that you will lead as a democrat when elected. Government is run through consensus not one man dictatorship

The classic do-nothing politician’s handbook—when all else fails, throw in a Bible verse, slap on a hashtag, and hope nobody notices the glaring incompetence. Instead of delivering results, they deliver sermons. Instead of fixing problems, they offer scripture, oblivious to decades of unfulfilled sermon laden promises! But you can’t blame the man when he has a huge following of Yes Nkosi fanatics!

Some Opposition Members were convicted in Emerson’s Kangaroo Courts yesterday. And this is the Opposition response. This is what emboldened and motivated the regime to conduct themselves with impunity. Change the Politics!

Zimbabwe has been ranked as the most miserable country to live in based on an economic index that considers its 95% unemployment rate, the highest inflation in the world, bank lending rates, and GDP. Does Emmerson Mnangagwa not get briefed on this, so that he understands what the world sees when engaging with Zimbabwe? What is worse is that Zimbabwe has topped this miserable index chart for three consecutive years. This has been driven mainly by state corruption which is central to Mnangagwa’s repressive rule. Currently there are over 75 prodemocracy political prisoners in jail in Zimbabwe, imprisoned for just meeting to commemorate the day of the African Child and some like Jacob Ngarivhume for just speaking out against corruption. It means Zimbabweans are being send to jail for exercising rights in their constitution, what a miserable place to live in where you get jailed for doing legal things!
