@Mel_Ankoly That was all done by Republicans... if anyone on the "left" is responsible it's the weaslely corporate status quo manager Dems. "Leftists" have principles and you must earn their vote. They don't ask for much in the grand scheme of things.

Here's a sample of what Leftists have accomplished in the past decade: 1. Overturn Roe v. Wade 2. Right-wing Supreme Court for decades 3. Withdrawal from climate agreements 4. Rollback environment protections 5. War with Iran 6. Increased cost of living (groceries, gas)

@Brien_Jackson Wtf are you talking about? Seriously, who gives a fuck what Republicans say? They elected Trump twice. Most people don't care what Republicans think or say and never will for decades.

Here's the thing I can't believe people don't get: Collins is going to go scorched Earth on Platner and then if he wins our credibility is SHOT for 10-20 years. There will be no racist Republican scandals ever because Fox will just say "Dems elected a guy with a Nazi tattoo."
JJ in NH@JustJoshinNH

Indulge me, if you will. How often has someone gotten a Nazi tattoo and turned out to be a good person? Just sit and give this an honest answer. So. Why give somebody the benefit of the doubt and assume they're the exception to the rule?

@trouble_man90 He didn't say "Biden is cool" or "Kamala is cool" because they both supported a genocide. He's principled to a fault. I voted for Biden and Kamala but I get it. I respect his principles. If the next candidate opposes Zionist genocide, he'd likely support them. Not complicated.

Democrats want someone who can be an on-ramp into voting for democrats; someone who provides a permission structure for people who are not reached by normal political methods. Gentle nudges in our direction: “Hey guys Biden is cool” “Did you see this thing Biden did, that’s pretty dope” “Kamala is cool in my book guys, you should vote for her” He explicitly does not do that, and did not do that when it could’ve helped. Hasan’s relationship and view of the party rests in a permanent negative state of constant criticism. Also he doesn’t like America and doesn’t even try to pretend to. Add all that up and he simply isn’t what we’re looking for and it’s way too late for him to try to become that. He’s already failed several times over. The answer is no.
Jacobin@jacobin

Democrats spent the last year asking where their Joe Rogan was. Hasan Piker is one of the few left-wing figures with the audience they covet — but the party is deeply hostile to the spontaneity and independence that make figures like him appealing. jacobin.com/2026/03/democr…

The single most radicalizing moment of my life was watching Democrats from the balcony of the State of the Union refuse to stand for Iryna Zarutska's mother, seated 15 feet away from me. Now they're tearing down her murals. They never cared about immigrants, it was all a lie.

Virginia Democrats passed bill HB333 requiring how January 6th must be presented in classrooms 🚨 Jan 6th must be taught as “an unprecedented, violent attack on United States democratic institutions, infrastructure, and representatives for the purpose of overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election” Yes, this is real and it goes further - Prohibit describing or portraying it as a “peaceful protest” or “peaceful demonstration.” - Prohibit stating, suggesting, or presenting as credible any claims of widespread election fraud in 2020 that could have changed or did change the election outcome It hasn’t been signed into law yet but it’s progressing to the governor’s desk

Leaving your bullshit smear aside, what moderates fear is that Democrats will be connected to a bigot who said "America deserved 9/11" and that will help the MAGA right win. I don't know why you don't fear that too.
Matt Duss@mattduss

Hasan isn’t driving a wedge into the party, the failed, repeatedly discredited yet unfortunately still entrenched corporate wing of the party is. They fear the left’s growing power and see Hasan as a way to make us argue amongst ourselves. We shouldn’t fall for it.

REMINDER: Democrats blocked a Republican bill requiring utility companies to prioritize affordable energy. Abigail Spanberger could’ve told her party to back that common-sense bill. Instead she stayed silent and is now pretending to care about high energy prices by hiring an environmental activist to be another do-nothing bureaucrat. It’s all performative. Democrats had every opportunity to actually lower energy costs. They chose not to.
VA Senate GOP@VASenateGOP

🚨Virginia Democrats just blocked ANOTHER common-sense effort to lower your power bill. @RyanMcDougle put forth a floor amendment requiring utility companies to prioritize the most reliable and affordable energy source. Democrats killed it - just like they killed SB 772, which also would’ve ensured Virginians have access to cheap, reliable energy. The Great Democrat Affordability Hoax just gets worse and worse.

@EddiesMind @Griffin4VA Huh? "They" definitely aren't claiming that. Low-income weatherization programs are paid by other unrelated riders or investor funds. And 3rd party audits are all part of the public record.

They claim that money goes to low income folks to insulate and make their houses more energy efficient, but I have yet to hear about any third party audits to see if the work is actually being done. And this initiative should be done at the local level, not through some state sponsored taxation scheme.

Virginia Dems passed HB 397 - a cap-and-trade energy tax system - known as the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), that adds $4.40 to your electric bill. It provides no service to you, but promotes leftwing politics. Although this one bill will make your house hold $100 poorer, a few big corporations at the top will become wealthier.

Why are national Democrat groups spending $20 million to gerrymander Virginia’s congressional districts? The answer is very clear: in 2021, two-thirds of Virginians voted to end partisan gerrymandering. Now they’re trying to go against the will of the voters to undo that decision.
