What is your *FAVORITE* #StarWars quote? Movie, tv show, animation / live action, video game, book, comic, audio drama, VR experience, etc...I don't care the source. Your all-time, single, "can only take one to a desert island" quote.

#TheLionKing singer Lebohang Morake, who performed the iconic chant in “Circle of Life,” is suing a comedian for mistranslating the chant's meaning. The song begins with the chant: “Nants’ingonyama bagithi Baba.” Morake’s lawsuit points to an episode of the “One54” podcast where comedian Learnmore Jonasi joked the chant translates to: “Look, there’s a lion. Oh my god.” “Such viral statements, [the lawsuit] says, are interfering with Morake’s business relationships with Disney and his income from royalties, causing more than $20 million in actual damages. The lawsuit also seeks $7 million in punitive damages,” The Guardian reports. “The complaint argues that Jonasi presented his translation ‘as authoritative fact, not comedy’ so it shouldn’t get the first amendment protections afforded to parody and satire that make fun of other artistic works.” variety.com/2026/music/new…

my most sapir-whorf take is that everyone would be psychologically healthier if we referred to emotions like we say "it is raining" instead of "I am sad"

Mel Brooks explains how Orson Welles tricked him into paying $25,000 for a $5,000 work for narrating 'History of the World Part 1' (1982): "Orson Welles was supposed to do five days of work, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., everyday narrating scenes. I paid him for 5 days [$5000 a day]. He started to test his voice out about 10 [minutes] to 9 a.m. By 11:30 a.m., 12 o’clock, he had done all the narration. It was all perfect. He said, ‘I’ll do any changes, anything you want, Mel.’ And I said, ‘It’s flat-out perfect. Oh my God. I could have paid you $5,000. I got so angry that I paid him so much and he did it in ten minutes. When I asked him "what are you going to do with the $25,000?". He said, "Cuban cigars and Sevruga caviar. I would have included women, but I’m getting just a little too heavy for that kind of athletic endeavor." I said, "You can get about 100 Cuban Cigars." and he said, "and a lot of Sevruga. I could have got a lot of Beluga but Sevruga is just as good in half the price."" (Mel Brooks interview to BFI, 2015)
