@nicklanasa @dhh @Steam @skater_xl @Fortnite I should have mentioned that I’m running Ubuntu right now and play plenty of games. My hangup is that I’ve heard Wayland + Nvidia isn’t a great combo, so I’m on Ubuntu with X11. Sounds like things are working though!

@dhh Logitech MX Mechanical Mini. Great for both Mac and Ubuntu. Has a great feel to it and not noisy

I wish I liked typing on a mechanical keyboard. Absolutely adore how they look. But I've tried a very broad range now, and I haven't found anything I really like. So I've been sticking with a Logitech MX Keys Mini, but it's.. underwhelming. We need something in the middle!!

The app I work on generates ~30K PDFs a day (rendered from HTML). Currently it's using a very erratic and resource-heavy puppeteer microservice for that. There's got to be a better way to do it in 2024, right?

This is exactly the same in every country you move to. Italian students in US have to pay healthcare insurance. Seems fair that US students in Italy would have to pay healthcare insurance. Note that this does not apply to EU citizens because they have their home country covering it.

Italy in 2024 has become extremely hostile to foreigners living here. If you are a student you need to pay 700€ a year just to get access to the public healthcare, if you are a worker 2000€ A YEAR where the average salary is 1500 (and you are already paying taxes)🧵
