@mxvdxn Love the aesthetics Dan! 🙌 So true, scene-building still requires a lot of nuanced directing and micro-managing. But yes, that's also what separates our style from any generic AI work.

I created a simple landing page for my CODENAME: WIDURI micro-story project. I think since 2024 to 2025, I mostly spent most of my time just making music videos. I guess now in 2026, I want to start having a sense of storytelling despite still working within the model limitations. AI storytelling isn't new, as I believe lots of people in this scene already do that. The thing is, I've never been a huge fan of the voiceover narrative under various shots approach, or just keep making trailers. Right now I really want to go deeper into building scenes, which is an extremely difficult thing to do, yet something I'm really excited about. While the Omni-reference feature in any video model has gotten better, there's so much micro-managing that we need to handle apart from character consistency. Especially like location, props, acting continuity, and so on, lots of micro-managing details that need to be handled. But in a way, that's the part I'm excited to explore. I guess the right term for me is more like a scene study, instead of an actual narrative. Which is why I don't want to go yet into a crazy 15-minute format. Most of the time my focus still limited to 2 minutes, but the core reason I want to explore and keep researching is the flow of the scene. Like I just want to see how a simple scene of a person eating noodles at the table, then moving to the sink to wash the dishes, from wide, mid shot, close-up. As simple as that. But what's exciting I guess is that we barely just started Q1 of 2026. So I'm sure we'll be expecting lots of surprises ahead. And it's going to be fun.

CODENAME: WIDURI // The Swamp Kling 3.0 Omnie @Kling_ai A corrupt official goes missing in Jametkarta. Nobody saw anything. Nobody heard anything. Just a woman in a red kebaya, sitting on a wooden boat, with an old song playing from her phone. A song that her late father used to hum when she was a kid. Someone is also with her, but not for long.

⚡️PREMIERE⚡️ I FEEL LOVE...🪞 Over 55 million people live with dementia worldwide: a number expected to reach 139 million by 2050, with a new case occurring every 3 seconds according to @AlzDisInt Human memory is fragile, incomplete, and deeply imperfect. It fades, fractures, and sometimes disappears entirely. Yet even when memories vanish, the person does not. This short AI film addresses an important message: "If someone can no longer remember, it doesn't mean they can't still feel!" Please, visit @alzassociation & @AlzDisInt for more information on Alzheimer's disease and how you can help. *created with @dreamina_ai for ADC AI Design contest by @TheOneClub

In narrative filmmaking with AI workflows, Audio (sound and dialogue) is one of the 1st things(after a concept or moodboard) that I use to set the tone of a narrative. Once I know my story treatment/script, I always find myself getting dialogues right (tone, cadence, pacing, rhythm, character differentiations), before any of the visual deep-dive of scene development. Of course, they say filmmaking is a visual medium but getting sound right is a no-brainer. Also, with AI filmmaking, getting dialogue/lip-sync still has limitations, so if we work it out first, then rest is relatively more manageable.

The Escape awards are the AI film worlds version of the academy awards. Escape members are some the most talented, celebrated and successful AI filmmakers from around the world, who each have votes to cast in the awards. This year I picked up 2 silver awards (2nd Place) in the Pioneer and Character categories. It's a real honor to recognized by peers who's work you enjoy and respect, many of whom I have come to consider friends. Big up to all the other creators on escape, just being on the platform places you at the top of the game in this new, ever evolving creative space. Thanks to the @escapeaimedia team for organizing the spectacular awards ceremony.

@mikeastahl Good points. It's important to be able to 'feel' through your locations. So you can use every bit of it creatively, when you're actually on set.

Practical filmmaking tip: scout your location twice. IF you can. Sometimes you get one look and that's it. First visit: creative eyes. What does this space feel like? What does it say? Where does the light fall at the time you'll shoot? Second visit: logistics. Where do the cables run? Where does the crew park? What ambient noise will kill your dialogue track? At first you might just be looking to see if the location will work for your film and not yet sure you can secure or afford it. Two scouts. Half the surprises on shoot day. Indies gotta plan since there's so little time and budget to shoot.

It's interesting to be able to juggle multiple characters/narratives. I always go from character. As you pointed out, if we figure out the motivations, then it's much easier to build it out. Whenever I have trouble with plot, I know I haven't dev-ed the characters enough. The meta thing is now more of an additional 'treatment' layer. Earlier it used to be novel as a narrative tool itself.

@WordTrafficker I've never used a metanarrative structure. Juggling complex layers is my jam, though. My twists are more from plot and character, rather than atypical structure. A novel series I'm very slowly writing does sort of have a meta-theme, but I'm not sure that's even a thing.

@FrontierModal Love getting meta. Of course, a lot more needs to go into it as we'd be juggling layers.

1. AI Noir Cult: ASSEMBLE 2. Hard to pull stories like this off, but... a sort of meta narrative where a femme fatale entices a protagonist into a sordid affair BY making a movie about a sordid affair... that'd fit the classic femme fatale form.

Awesome work! 🔥 A must-watch by my man @DavizCF7777
David Colombo@DavizCF7777

This is my latest project — BUNNYNJA: The Final Hunt. It's my longest short film to date, clocking in at nearly 9 minutes, and it's 90% generated with @grok. Honestly, @grok is an incredible tool for experimentation. If I had tried to make this short on any other platform, it would have cost a fortune in credits — but this entire project only cost the equivalent of two months of Grok Premium. That's $60. This is the sequel to my original BUNNYNJA short, which I released about a year ago. I've cranked up the graphic violence this time around — because why not? 🤣 So viewer discretion is advised as you watch this rabbit crush, mutilate, obliterate and burn his way through an entire mob of thug cats. Hope you enjoy it! 🐰🔥
