In the 90’s and 00’s, “That 70’s Show” was a nostalgia piece despite being set only 20-30 years before it premiered. “Better Call Saul is a 00’s period piece, but nobody considers it “nostalgic”. The world just hasn’t changed as much.

Really funny discourse going around Twitter right now of 50 year old men saying “my mom had a home cooked meal for us to eat every night, why don’t people cook anymore, you’re wasting so much money on takeout” Because all the women have to work full time now to pay rent lol

This might be a hot take but I know someone at meta who makes $400k a year and is quite literally capped at that number for life - likely will never get a promotion strong enough to change that. 9-5 until they’re what, 50? This is not living. No matter the salary.

Link Wray, performing “Rumble” in 1974. In the 1950s when it was released, it was censored. It became the most banned song in history. It had NO LYRICS.

@mrwittmayer If you ever watch old film reels a lot of the men seem to be incredibly skinny by modern standards This has led me to believe that being "twinkish" is actually the more normal and natural way for a man to be. Thoughts?
