New research highlights the power of two #bioflavonoids, nobiletin and eriodictyol, in protecting the brain from inflammation caused by the #COVID spike protein and the mold toxin ochratoxin A. ✅ Ochratoxin A & Spike Protein exposure triggered high levels of inflammatory markers in human microglia (immune cells in the brain), potentially leading to brain fog, neurodegeneration, and cognitive issues. ✅ Both flavonoids significantly reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, CXCL8, IL-6) and MMP-9, a protein linked to blood-brain barrier damage and neurodegeneration. ✅ Nobiletin & eriodictyol effectively blocked this inflammatory response, suggesting their potential as natural neuroprotective agents. These findings point to bioflavonoids as promising tools for reducing neuroinflammation related to viral infections and environmental toxins, offering new hope for conditions like long COVID and mold-related neuroinflammation. Your brain loves chocolate. But why? Cocoa flavanols activate nitric oxide pathways that improve endothelial function and cerebral perfusion. Translation? Better oxygen delivery to your brain, which supports focus, memory, and mood. It’s not just indulgence—it’s nourishment with nuance. 🍫

The Scary Truth Is Microplastics Are Probably Already in Your Brain - The Best Brain Possible buff.ly/97AADGX Microplastics are tiny plastic particles less than five millimeters in size—about the thickness of pencil lead in a mechanical pencil—that have infiltrated nearly every corner of our planet. From the deepest oceans to the highest mountains, these tiny plastic particles are now a ubiquitous presence. More alarmingly, recent studies have detected microplastics in human organs, including the brain, raising serious concerns about their potential impact on neurological health. Here's what you need to know. #microplastics #plastics #brain #brainhealth #mentalhealth #health #nurological #neuoscience #Wednesdaywisdom #Wednesdaythoughts

Did You Know? You have to cook mushrooms in order to get the full benefits of their medicinal value. Cooking mushrooms actually helps unlock their full nutritional potential by breaking down their tough cell walls, making vitamins and minerals more accessible. Beta glucans are one of the powerful compounds in mushrooms bound to 'chitin' that also comprises the outer cell of crustaceans such as lobsters. It is very tough & cooking breaks it down.

Boron may play a supportive role for optimizing testosterone. Supplementing with 6-12 mg per day can increase free testosterone (not total testosterone) by suppressing SHBG. It's not something typically consumed in the diet, but you can find a multivitamin that has it. Note that most studies to date are in animals or mechanistic and your results may vary.

💧 Eating high-water produce can contribute significantly to hydration. Water-rich vegetables like cucumber, celery, and spinach also make it easier for food to move through the system. Combined with natural fiber, they support regular bowel movements and help flush out excess sodium, which can reduce bloating and puffiness. Plus, adequate hydration optimizes brain efficiency. #HydrateYourBrain #WaterRichFoods

Avocados can reduce both large, fluffy LDL cholesterol and the small, dense LDL cholesterol too. All LDL cholesterol negatively impacts our health, so we want to drop it regardless, but small, dense LDL is the worst. see.nf/avocadoLDL
