@Jake_FutTrading Every 2nd person i play doesn't touch their back 4 until they eat a couple of finesse shots. Really good players do this just frustrate me as it cant be fun for anyone

@Jake_FutTrading Evos are the only reason why I play tbf, take them away and I'm gone. They are the only way I can take Porto players and compete with meta.

@Jake_FutTrading I agree evos are too strong but its also meant for the first time I've been able to use bradford city cards. They were op tho as I still use two of them that have not been boosted since toty. 90 stats all over the place. They struggle massively with balance but it must be hard

EA uses Google Cloud for their game servers. For you it's probably europe-west2 when you play the game. 35.197.249.117 is one from a Google datacenter in the UK. At a more normal time and 'congested' time run these commands in your Terminal. (If you're on Windows just type Terminal / cmd in your search bar and run these. If you're on Mac, same thing but instead of tracert do traceroute) ping 35.197.249.117 tracert 35.197.249.117 Ping will display your latency. What's important here is time=XX value. Tracert will display what hops exactly your packets do until they reach a Google server and how long each step takes. (Mind you that I didn't give you an exact EA server IP but close enough, same data center and all.) I've added two example outcomes. Do your tests like these and if you see an actual increase during those times tell your ISP about the whole ordeal and ask for a solution. (Again, I'm not sure about your subscription specifics but they can probably put you into a more friendly route that will cause less lag.) Good luck! :)

Could be network congestion at ISP level. At peak hours everyone may try to browse the web and again especially with copper connections this can be a common problem If you have a fiber option prefer that as their capacity is much larger. If this is happening on fiber still go ahead and explain, what’s the worst that could happen When I get home I can write a small ‘tracert’ guide to check these hops and your latency where you can run this outside the peak hours and during the hours to see if there’s some concrete evidence you can get

@tugberk @rxckydusa Thanks for this, I have had issues recently with Vodafone broadband. During the hours of 8pm and 11pm the ping spikes massively under load. I can use this to show them the details of the test

Hello, comp. engineer here. Your up and down doesn’t matter that much for latency. What’s important is your ISPs routing to the target servers. There are things called as hops and your connection might be taking the scenic route whilst your friend is having a more direct one. Are you both on the same ISP? Even if this is yes, there’s a thing called as CGNAT and your IP block’s routing could be different. If that’s the case explain your ISP the situation and ask your IP to be moved to a different block. Still not solved? Could be buffer bloating. Ask your friend to take this test, similarly you too. It’s just a button click. bufferbloat.libreqos.com and see what results you get. Their networking equipment could be handling connections much better which may cause you to get higher latency. Anyway, these two are the most common reasons. Hope you sort it out, good luck
