Now they cycle through rave colors while emitting a high-pitched pairing frequency. I spent my entire Saturday trying to connect my kitchen ceiling to our router using a 2.4GHz band. I am a 52-year-old man standing on a stepping stool screaming at a lightbulb because my phone can't find its Bluetooth signal. Tomorrow I'm going to Home Depot to buy $2 incandescent bulbs. I want my house to be stupid again.

There's a lot of gnashing of teeth from Iranian nationalists and their partisans that Iran was "fooled again" or that the remaining leaders are too libbed out since the based ones all got taken out. I agree, obviously the US was not sincere in offering that ceasefire. But quite honestly, "getting fooled" or playing along with it in the moment was not a bad play for Iran. First of all, Trump was in a very dangerous and volatile moment. After the "Civilization ending" post he needed a way to climb down from such a dramatic moment. The ceasefire provided that. Of course, just hours later really, it fell apart because there's obviously no real agreement. But we are no longer in the dangerously heightened mood we were in just 24 hours ago. Importantly, the Iranians have not done anything irreversible. They haven't given up their uranium, or given up any missiles. They even still have Hormuz sewn up tight. Everything is more chaotic, but there hasn't been too much change of consequence. I don't think Iran is in a spectacularly worse position than before. However, if they can throw Rouhani, Pezeshkian, Zarif and friends into a bunker with no telecommunication to chill out for the rest of the war, that might just help out a lot with Iran's bid to keep its sovreignty.
