🚨 Iran has now entered 80 days of internet blackout, the longest nationwide shutdown in modern history. This is digital apartheid, as the Islamic Republic cuts over 90 million people off from the open internet. Ordinary Iranians are trapped on a filtered intranet, cut off from family, work, education, banking, and the outside world. Meanwhile connected IRGC elites, regime insiders, loyalists, and their families receive privileged “white SIM” or “Internet Pro” access with unrestricted WhatsApp, Instagram, X, VPNs, and global internet access ordinary citizens cannot afford or obtain. The connected ruling class lives under completely different rules while millions remain digitally imprisoned. This is not about security. ⚪️ To hide crackdowns, arrests, and evidence from reaching the outside world ⚪️ To isolate protesters and prevent coordination across cities ⚪️ To psychologically exhaust and demoralize the population in silence ⚪️ To tighten information control while regime-connected elites remain fully online The internet is a fundamental human right in the 21st century. The people of Iran are not offline, only censored.

For anyone who is wondering about AATIPs authenticity, here is documentation dated 2009 that clearly concerns AATIP and my participation early on. This memo was made by the program sponsor himself, senator Harry Reid. I’m not sure why there’s still a question about this?

Alcatel Submarine Networks, the world’s largest cable-laying company, has paused subsea cable repair operations in the Persian Gulf after Iran demanded permits and “protection fees” for seabed infrastructure, maritime AI company Windward said on Monday. Alcatel issued force majeure notices for Persian Gulf operations, effectively pausing repair crews in waters near the conflict zone, Windward said. The pause comes as the IRGC has demanded foreign cable operators obtain Iranian permits and pay “protection fees” to maintain seabed infrastructure in Iranian territorial waters. Of the dozens of submarine cables crossing the Persian Gulf, only two — FALCON and GBI — pass directly through Iranian territorial waters, according to telecommunications research company TeleGeography cited in the report. Windward said the key risk was that damaged cables could remain unrepaired if repair vessels cannot safely enter or work in the area. iranintl.com/en/202605183734

$TE is up ~19% after Leopold Aschenbrenner’s Fund disclosed a new $44M position last quarter.

$TE: 🚨SITUATIONAL AWARENESS PURCHASES 10M SHARES OR 3.6% OF T1 ENERGY IN Q1. T1 ENERGY IS NOW SITUATIONAL'S 10TH LARGEST POSITION OUT OF 26 HOLDINGS. Situational Awareness LP is an AI-focused hedge fund founded by Leopold Aschenbrenner, the former OpenAI Superalignment researcher who wrote the viral 2024 essay “Situational Awareness: The Decade Ahead.” Its core thesis is not simply “buy AI software winners.” It is more like: AGI/AI scaling will create enormous bottlenecks in compute, power, data centers, semiconductors, networking/optics, storage, and energy infrastructure — and the best public-market opportunities may be in those bottleneck suppliers. The WSJ described the strategy as betting on global stocks that benefit from AI development, including semiconductor, infrastructure and power companies, plus some private AI investments such as Anthropic.
