And Yes I get the irony, I was always a mass proponent of legalized gambling in the USA but not this version where its this much in your face. Its too much and it shows no signs of abating.

How many years till Sports Gambling addiction becomes a massive problem in the USA. The number of college aged (and younger) kids obsessed with gambling is way too high, and nearly every platform and league are promoting the *f* out of gambling to their fans.

trump being in the truth social bubble has been a huge boost to him, as it's kept Americans from being reminded of what a terrible guy he is to be around but it also means that on a big set piece occasion like the state of the union, he has no capacity to set the message anymore

@XacobeR Thanks! In terms of being away from people, almost all of the shaded area in eastern arkansas/the bootheel on that map is incredibly rural/small towns. Closest area with some stuff going on in the shaded area would be Jonesboro, hour away from Memphis with some good bbq

I say hidden because this is what the street looks like - the pre 1811 grid offers so many enchanting and unexpected moments like this

@harrisonfinberg I was considering EV for my future car but even though my condo has a few (shared) charging stations it still doesn’t feel “there” yet. They gotta work on vehicle weight, particle pollution etc too.

Thinking of going for a little hike in the NW Bronx tomorrow and the trains from Grand Central run every ~30 mins. Unthinkable in Philly when any of the Regional Rail lines that get you anywhere near Wissahickon run every 2 hours at best on weekends.
