Today, with a heavy heart, I am announcing that I am suspending my campaign for Congress.
President Trump endorsed one of my opponents. While I respectfully disagree with that decision and believe we were the true America First conservative in this race, I have always supported the President and will continue to do so.
After reviewing the polling and the data, I no longer see a path to victory. I will always put our movement before my own ambitions.
To every supporter and donor, thank you. Together, we inspired thousands of people and built something special. I will never forget your sacrifices and your faith in me.
I also want to extend a special thank you to the Albanian-American community for your generosity and support. As the grandson of legal immigrants, having the opportunity to run for Congress in the greatest country in the world was the fulfillment of a dream.
This is only the beginning, and we will be back. America is worth fighting for, and I will never stop fighting for the values that make our nation exceptional.
I love you all, and I will always have your back.

We need a Republican nominee who can hold Jocelyn Benson accountable for her husband profiting tens of millions from data centers in Michigan.
John James cannot do it because the data center builders in Michigan are among his biggest donors.
And James has already proven he cannot handle his own conflict with data center special interests. Instead of defending his record with substance, he plays the race card.
Opposition to data centers is a key element of Republican victory this November, and John James is a liability at the top of our ticket.

It was a shameful attempt to distract from your favor-based relationship with special interest groups like DTE, and the data center builders who are funding your campaign. I know you have been uncomfortable on stage over the the last two nights getting called out on for being beholden to these special interests, but cracking under pressure with this nonsense is a bridge too far. This is why we can’t afford to have you on the top of the ticket. Republicans will lose up and down the ballot in November as they have in the past because you crumble under pressure. I would expect this type of language from the liberal Democrats you vote with, but not a Republican candidate for Governor. Grow up.

Simply put, we won the debate on Wednesday and we won the debate on Thursday.
This race is a choice between career & insider politics...and candidates controlled by special interests who don't have the experience or the independence to fundamentally change Michigan's government and root out billions in waste, fraud, and abuse...that is BILLIONS of YOUR tax dollars being wasted.
And honestly, one of my opponents is simply too liberal.
In contrast, I am a conservative outsider.
I have been bringing quality and efficiency to companies in the private sector all my life, and I am not beholden to any special interests. I am the only candidate with the experience, focus, and resources to defeat Jocelyn Benson in November.

Last night John James showed he is a weak candidate and weak person.
He was uncomfortable both nights in the debates as he was finally held to task on his ties to special interest groups. He could not defend his record on voting for AI Kill Switches and association with the data center builders and power companies funding his campaign. So he did what liberals always do and fell back to playing the “race card” to try and defect and confuse.
It's sad.
Unfortunately, John is no stranger to this kind of coded woke language of the Left, he not only votes with Democrats, he talks like them. He is liberal on Kill Switches, he is liberal on Comprehensive Immigration Reform (Amnesty), and he is liberal on DEI — in fact, he tried to campaign on DEI against Peters and lost, and we can’t let him do it again.
We will be out there talking about issues every day for the rest of this campaign, and one of the main issues is his links to the special interests funding his campaign. He called them his “investors” in the Wednesday debate. The thing about investors is they expect a return on their investment.
Republican primary voters will not accept him falling back on playing the race card in a pathetic attempt to avoid answering the questions.

I grew up as a son of the working class here in Michigan.
My parents came to Michigan because it was a place where you could achieve any dream through hard work. But that has slipped away because politicians have sold us out…
Politicians like John James who says he’s working to “help bring our jobs back from Mexico and China,” while his business is importing as much as 38 million pounds of Chinese auto parts into Michigan, including this year!
Lansing is full of sell outs. They sell out to the lobbyists, the utilities, the insurers, the pharmaceutical companies, and the companies that have outsourced Michigan jobs.
John James would be another sell out in the Lansing swamp.
I have fought for working people my entire life. It’s personal to me. And it will be my mission as your Governor.

Michigan voters have serious questions about John James after he ran from reporters following last night’s debate.
After tonight’s WOOD TV debate, each candidate will have the opportunity to speak with the media and answer questions. Our campaign is formally calling on John James to stop running from accountability, face questions from the press, and explain his liberal record to Michigan Republicans.
Michigan deserves a candidate who can take the heat — not another career politician hiding from tough questions.
