@adammocklerr so my lefty friend.. i'm curious, how can America lose a war when the Americans have completely destroyed their navy, air capability, and blown up over 13,000 military targets? And what did Iran destroy on the American side? I'll wait 🤦🏻‍♂️ ..

@LesleyMkup @GinnyRothTO I am not sure what kind of mental illness this is, but it is epic!! 😳 NO ONE wants Poilievre as PM except for the loud mouthed extremists in the CPC...

Personally, Removing Pierre, would be a huge mistake.. He appeals to so many, and no leader will appeal to all…& many young ppl really like him, I know my daughter ( 24 ) & her peer group all voted for him and they haven’t faltered in their support of him. I say hold the line. And Have you seen this ? ⬇️ x.com/wyatt_claypool…

This isn’t to say that the health of the party depends on one person. My concern is that the post merger CPC requires a leader who understands and can speak for western Canadians, fiscal conservatives, social conservatives and increasingly, young working people. Those wanting a leadership change seem to want to pursue a strategy that would surely alienate these types of party members and conservative voters. And I think that would ultimately lead to the fracturing of the party.
Ginny Roth@GinnyRothTO

I genuinely believe that a Poilievre departure would very likely result in the party splitting.

@GinnyRothTO So maybe that is why the Libs and the media want Pierre gone. Pierre has earned our support.

@Terrilltf @kim_siever I find it rather interesting that there has been almost NO reference to the sub par leadership the CPC has had over the past decade...🤔

@univrsle @kim_siever I have yet to find anyone that even mentions the role Michael Ignatief's leadership played in Jack Layton's surge in 2011! He was arguably one of the "worst" leaders the Liberal party has ever had as he struggled to identify with everyday Canadians and it showed at election time

@kim_siever Honestly, I will attribute SOME of that to him, but 2011 was such an outlier and the death of Layton so disruptive (and as it turns out divisive in the aftermath) that at least some of that was out of his control.

The NDP won 103 seats in the 2011 election. In the 2015 election, the first election with Tom Mulcair as leader, they won only 44. They lost nearly 60 seats under Mulcair, the largest loss in the party’s history.
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca

Tom Mulcair on Marilyn Gladu: "That strident, divisive politics of Pierre Poilievre, that's not her style ... they look at the way they're being expected to behave and being controlled in Poilievre's caucus and they're just saying, 'I can't do this anymore.'"

CPC was founded on a dirty backroom deal, when Peter MacKay, running for PCPC leadership, cut a deal with David Orchard for his support, where MacKay offered that he would not seek a merger with Harper. He promptly betrayed that deal and cut a new deal with Harper, creating CPC.

@Michael61297655 @JamesAndersonX7 @DonMartinCTV 2/...of this party, and what it will take to get control back? I am not sure if the right leader is even in the party right now, but there also needs to be a culling of the membership to rid itself of the authoritarian direction we have been seeing for almost two decades.

@Michael61297655 @JamesAndersonX7 @DonMartinCTV 1/ This should "end" the current incarnation of the CPC, but I suspect it won't!! In what Marvel Universe would a political leader get to keep his job after losing a 25 point lead in the polls and his seat of over 20 years?!?! It makes me wonder exactly "who" is in control...

I’m ready to fight like hell for this country, and against anyone trying to tear it apart. The richest man in the world wants Canada to become the 51st state and is now amplifying Alberta separatism. So let’s ask the question: Who is funding this movement? Albertans deserve to know.

@YEGSentinel @JasonLavigneAB Polls are unreliable as they depend strongly on methodology and unbiased sampling. In any case, that's what they called the American Founding Fathers, and yet it still happened, and they became the most prosperous nation in history.

Canadian politics 101. First, Mark Carney became the leader of the Liberal party with a rigged selection process. Next, he was appointed the Prime Minister of Canada without being elected MP. Now, he will get an unelected majority government. It's all just a big game to them.

@JasonLavigneAB If nothing else they are showing us how fragile Canada's Parliamentary system is, and that it requires major changes to prevent it from being gamed. Alternatively, the provinces can just choose independence. #AlbertaIndependence

We’re likely looking at a Liberal majority through at least 2029. The Conservatives who led themselves off a cliff should now be ignored. The next few years need to be spent building a party capable of governing. The CPC earned this. Don’t listen to the pundits or influencer class that got it so wrong. And don’t listen to those complicit trying to sell a “new way” or a “new right.” There is no salvation to be had, nor is it needed. Rebuilding the Tory tradition and presenting it as a viable governing option is the only way forward.

@rmbateman Irrelevant. The data center would use less than one days worth of water flow per year from the river. That's why the environmental impact isn't required. Some of us can do the math. Others just point to irrelevant statements and innuendo, not unlike yourself.
