Therefore, the peace agreement is null and void. We derecognize the State of Palestine and will reoccupy its territory". Question: what will you do? What will be your reaction? Will you say: "That's totally fair, I was wrong"? Or will you call for deescalation, urge Israel to give a proportional response, explain that it wasn't Palestine, it was Hamas, and demand that Israel sit down with the Palestinians to find a diplomatic solution (*another* diplomatic solution, this time *really*!) to avoid a *third* Oct 7-like event? For Israelis contemplating the wisdom of placating the moderate wing of the Democrats by agreeing to a two-state solution, it is absolutely crucial to know what moderate Democrats like you would do in such a scenario.
