Youth Mission for Clean River

YMCR met the inspiring riders of the “Ride for Cleaner Himalayas – Women’s Edition-2026” Curated by Himalayan Fringes Project, these riders from Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, & Arunachal are on a mission to build waste-free communities. Proud to flag off their Itanagar route!

Took part in Statehood Day celebrations with a kiosk showcasing our environmental conservation and river rejuvenation works. We were honored to brief the Hon’ble Governor, HCM and Ministers on our mission to spread awareness and protect our water bodies.

Hon PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, in the 130th episode of Mann Ki Baat, acknowledged the inspiring work of our Arunachali youths from Youth Mission for Clean River who are cleaning rivers and streets across towns in the state. This national recognition is a huge boost to youth-led community service and environmental responsibility. Proud of our young volunteers for leading by example and serving society with such dedication. Jai Hind!

We are beyond honored to share that PM @narendramodi recognized the YMCR in Jan 25th’s episode of Mann Ki Baat. He lauded our efforts in removing 11 lakh KGs of garbage across the state. This national recognition belongs to every volunteer & citizen who has joined our mission!

A productive morning at Komlighat, Siang River Front, Pasighat. While we cleared the waste today, the real victory is preventing it. We urge every visitor to be a guardian of the Siang—carry back your own trash and use designated bins. A cleaner Pasighat starts with us.

A river cleanup to begin the year with. We welcome all and sundry in and around Itanagar capital region to come and help clean Yagamso river on January 3rd 2026 at Energy park, Itanagar stretch. As usual, cleaning gears, water and tea will be provided.
