@aramh Haskell is just a (bad) hodgepodge of research ideas. Haskell should not be used by anyone other than at best researchers and at worst hobbyists. There are much better FP languages out there than Haskell.

Sad (!) litmus test for telling whether someone has anything interesting to crcriticize about PLT (and there is plenty to criticize). They think that Haskell is some sort of epitome of PLT. It's like when discussing GPUs someone brings up the 386.

It’s quite odd that Google will tell you that your flight is delayed, but the apps from the airline and the boards in the airport don’t tell you that information, but if you go to the counter at the gate they’ll tell you it has that delay. Решил потыкать python 3.14 с отключенным GIL, к счастью и повод появился — понадобилось сделать кучу pdf из zip-архивов с картинками (ну а хуле вы хотели, ван пис сам себя не прочитает) так вот что получилось: 3.14 с GIL обработал 1155 глав ван писа за 00:04:34 3.14 без GIL управился за 00:03:23 Пока что единственный замеченный нюанс — в версии без GIL плохо работает сборщик мусора, поэтому высвобождать ресурсы надо в полуручном режиме (пинать сборщик), в остальном только радует
