Everyone’s reacting to headlines. Almost no one is thinking 2–3 moves ahead.
President Trump taking heat domestically right now isn’t confusion - it’s calculated risk.
And the current pressure on Iran isn’t just military.
It’s economic. It’s strategic. It’s long-term positioning.
Most people don’t understand how energy actually works globally.
OPEC / OPEC+ don’t control oil because they’re “powerful” in theory.
They control it because they manage supply.
Cut production → prices go up
Increase production → prices go down
Simple.
But here’s what’s changed - and this is where people are behind:
The U.S. is no longer just another buyer in that system.
It’s becoming the counterweight to it.
America is now the largest oil and gas producer in the world.
That matters because U.S. shale is flexible.
It can ramp up faster than traditional producers.
So every time OPEC+ tries to tighten supply and push prices higher…
U.S. production steps in and caps it.
That’s how you break a cartel’s leverage over time.
Not overnight. Structurally.
Now bring Iran into this.
Iran isn’t just another oil producer.
It’s part of the geopolitical layer that sits behind energy markets.
It’s aligned with actors like Russia.
It influences regional stability.
And it sits right next to one of the most critical chokepoints on earth - the Strait of Hormuz.
Roughly 20% of global oil flows through that corridor.
So let’s be clear:
Any escalation there will spike prices in the short term.
That’s real. That’s unavoidable.
Which means yes - this is a domestic political risk.
But that’s also the point most people are missing.
This isn’t about lowering prices tomorrow.
It’s about controlling who has leverage five years from now.
If the U.S. can:
~ Sustain record production
~ Expand LNG exports
~ Supply allies in Europe and Asia
~ And disrupt hostile coordination around energy
Then the global system shifts.
From: OPEC+ influencing markets
To: The U.S. setting the floor and ceiling
That forces a new reality:
OPEC+ has two options:
Cut production → lose market share to the U.S.
Increase production → drive prices down and hurt their own revenues
Either way, their grip weakens over time.
That’s what “America First” looks like at a systems level.
Not slogans. Not headlines.
~ Positioning.
~ Leverage.
And being willing to take short-term hits to secure long-term control.

When he threatened to destroy the brutal Iranian regime they said he was a crazy warmonger . When he made a deal for peace the same people said he was a weakling who folded. Donald Trump is the greatest president of my lifetime!
There is no greater title that history, but than that of peacemaker

A list of what Joe Biden handed the Taliban in Afghanistan:
- 180,000 air-to-ground missiles
- 50,150 munitions.
- 50,000 tactical vehicles
- 20,000 Humvees
- 1,000 mine-resistant vehicles
- 208 planes and helicopters
When Democrats claim Operation Epic Fury wasn't a success, show them this.

PRESS SEC: 🇮🇷🇺🇸 The Iranians originally put forward a 10-point plan that was fundamentally unserious, unacceptable, and completely discarded.
It was literally thrown in the garbage by President Trump and his negotiating team.
Many outlets in this room have falsely reported on that plan as being acceptable to the United States, and that is false.
The President's red lines, namely the end of Iranian enrichment in Iran, have not changed.
And the idea that President Trump would ever accept an Iranian wish list as a deal is completely absurd. The President will only make a deal that serves in the best interests of the United States of America.

More than five years later and most Americans still have no idea that police attacked the peaceful and lawfully assembled J6 crowd for nearly an hour without any dispersal order or warning.
The use of force on the West Plaza starting at 1:07 pm was unlawful and extreme. It was police violence that caused the Capitol to be breached.

Presidents like Donald Trump are rare.
You can like him or hate him, but you cannot ignore what he represents. This is a man who confronts power head-on.
While others hesitate, calculate, and play safe, he steps in and acts.
He challenged Iran directly. He disrupted their influence, blocked their expansion, and pushed back against networks that many believe have fueled instability across different regions.
Some of you don’t fully understand what that means on a global scale. That’s fine.
Not everyone follows power dynamics or international strategy deeply.
But think about this:
When last did you hear of a direct threat successfully shaking the United States or the world under his watch?
Exactly.
Strength deters chaos. Whether you admit it or not.
Even institutions like the European Union move carefully around situations like Iran.
It’s a complex game of diplomacy, fear, and consequences. But Trump doesn’t play that game the same way. He confronts it.
Call him controversial. Call him aggressive. Call him whatever you want.
But leadership is not about being perfect.
It’s about making decisions others are too afraid to make.
He is not trying to please everyone, and that’s exactly why many people don’t understand him.
Man has brought peace to the world
I pray he completes this mission.
Pressure Iranian leaders to open up the country.
Allow free speech.
Allow equal rights.
Give women their freedom.
And watch how everything begins to change…
A more open society.
A different future for the next generation.
God bless America.
Long live Iran.
We are about to enter one of the most peaceful times in world history.
God punish haters of peace ✌️

🚨 CEASEFIRE SHATTERED IN HOURS 🔥
Iran just launched nonstop missile barrages on Tel Aviv — less than two hours after the ceasefire began.
They also attacked Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
So much for “peace.”
While Trump held off strikes to give diplomacy a chance, the Iranian regime responded by raining missiles on civilians and breaking the agreement immediately.
Where is the outrage from the same people who screamed about “escalation”?
This regime understands only strength.
Trump was right from the start. 🇺🇸

Labour have left X
They're also getting their lackies in the public service to turn off popular accounts
This is an admission that the left can't compete in the free market of ideas

A brave government really serious about turning New Zealand into a prosperous economy with increasing living standards would be as ruthless on our bureaucracy @actparty @nzfirst as Trump and Milei … little point tagging in National. We need a government with real steel and a spine on this finally from November.
US and Argentina are showing the huge gains from slaughtering the bureaucracy, and that bureaucracy have set themselves up as your political opposition so why so soft on them this term? No tax money to broadcasting.
Tax cuts back to business and individuals, take out 9 in every 10 government departments, concentrate tax money into only health, police, defence, a 7 man cabinet. That’s it.
For shits and giggles if you’re interested @NicolaWillisMP

🚨BOMBSHELL NUMBERS: The federal bureaucracy is completely COLLAPSING under Trump… The federal government workforce CRATERED by 18,000 jobs in March alone. It is now the LOWEST since 1966 after 14 straight months of decline. This is what ruthless efficiency looks like. The deep state is shrinking. 🇺🇸

CNN right before we hit Iran's nuclear facilities last year: There is no need for this. Iran isn't close to having a nuclear weapon.
CNN immediately after last year's strike: The mission failed, Iran is closer than ever to having a nuclear weapon.
CNN right before we hit Iran this year: There is no need for this. Iran isn't close to having a nuclear weapon.
Spoiler alert. This is how Democrats/MSM will be, with everything, for the next three years. It's exactly how they were on everything Trump did during his first five years.

Our focus remains on staying ahead of the potential risks to New Zealand and minimising the impacts on inflation and growth in our economy.
That means ensuring we continue to secure the fuel we need to protect Kiwi jobs, livelihoods and the wider economy.
The fuel update today shows that New Zealand continues to have sufficient fuel stocks in the country and there is more on the way.
Fuel importers have not reported any issues with future orders or shipments. And therefore, we remain at Phase 1 of our National Fuel Response Plan.
