Brooklyn Community Board 12 approved the co-naming of 16th Ave (btw 58th & 59th St) in Borough Park in honor of Rabbi Yanky (Jack) Meyer, z”l, the founder of Misaskim and a true pillar of chesed. I cherished his friendship and am heartened to see his legacy live on. 🕯️

Blessed to once again celebrate Hanukkah with my 95-year-old grandmother, a survivor of the Auschwitz extermination camp and the Nazi death march. By God’s mercy, she survived and thrives, sharing her story with five generations—including great-great-grandchildren

Again I’d like to thank our community partners for their tremendous work today. Thousands came to say their final goodbyes to Rabbi Moshe Wolfson. The work of these invaluable organizations made our job tremendously easier and more efficient 🤝

This assault on a group of Orthodox Jewish children is disgusting.   Antisemitism has no home in Brooklyn, and I am grateful that the Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating this attack. My office is monitoring the situation.

Had the honor meeting Fiji’s Ambassador to the U.N. Filipo Tarakinikini @FijiMissionUN. We discussed the Fiji-Israel relationship and his commitment to peace and security in the Middle East. Also enjoyed an early taste of Kosher for Passover Fiji water 🤤

Today, the @BPJCC had the privilege of hosting an important meeting with Amb. Deborah Lipstadt, President Biden's Special Envoy to Combat Anti-Semitism. We discussed the administration's efforts to combat anti-Semitism & the challenges faced by Jewish communities in NYC.

Had the honor to greet @benshapiro at the European Jewish Association conference in Krakow and enjoyed his conversation with @elonmusk about countering online antisemitism. #NeverAgainIsNow #NotOnMyWatch

In my visit to Israel, I witnessed the horrors of terrorism by Hamas. I condemn all acts of terrorism. No one should have to live under the ongoing threat of terror. I stand in solidarity with the people of Israel and remember the victims who lost their lives. @ZAKA_Israel
