The Computer Science Illustrated at UC Berkeley is one of the coolest projects I have come across.

📁 Terence Tao, Fields Medal mathematician, says mathematics could become AI’s safest and most powerful domain.
Language models can be brilliant or completely wrong, but in math every claim is forced through logic and can even be verified by proof assistants.
Where other fields struggle with unreliability, mathematics can eliminate the noise and preserve only what is true.

@ihtesham2005 NotebookLM currently has buttons for generating Infographics, mind map, quizzes, and audio.
The agent knows all the material inside out, ask it what you don’t understand.
Not lecture notes, but why a works not b.
Deep not shallow learning.

Top students at Stanford have a secret NotebookLM workflow.
Took me 3 weeks of digging through study groups to crack it.
Most people dump their PDFs into NotebookLM and ask basic questions. These students do something completely different.
They upload their lecture notes, then immediately ask: "What are the 3 most likely exam questions from this material?"
But the wild part is, they don't stop there.
They follow up with: "Now create a study guide that connects these concepts to last week's readings" and "Generate practice problems that combine today's material with previous assignments."
The result? They're not just reviewing. They're predicting what professors want and connecting dots across the whole course.
I tested this on my own research. Instead of 6 hours of manual cross-referencing, I got comprehensive analysis in 15 minutes.
The secret isn't about taking better notes. It's about getting NotebookLM to think like your professor.

I spent more test time compute and realized that my micrograd can be dramatically simplified even further. You just return local gradients for each op and get backward() to do the multiply (chaining) with global gradient from loss. So each op just expresses the bare fundamentals of what it needs to: the forward computation and the backward gradients for it.
Huge savings from 243 lines of code to just 200 (~18%).
Also, the code now fits even more beautifully to 3 columns and happens to break just right:
Column 1: Dataset, Tokenizer, Autograd
Column 2: GPT model
Column 3: Training, Inference
Ok now surely we are done.

@summerpard @Riazi_Cafe_en It’s crap, I just looked at it. It’s arithmetic, geometry and a little algebra.
If you really want to learn this. Basic Mathematics by Serge Lang’s will turn you into a jr mathematician.
This book seemed crappy.

I must confess, 'Theories of Truth: A Critical Introduction' by Richard Kirkham is one of my favorite book ever written, on any subject. A great introduction, for a difficult subject, writing with great clarity and great detail.
I would recommend, for anyone interested in this book, to have a solid foundation in first order logic and an understanding of the basics of epistemology.
