This may be the final graduating class made up of men the majority of which I recruited during my time at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Three of these brothers have served as interns at Antioch Presbyterian Church (PCA). I thank God for these men from whom I learned much and in whom I have invested much. May God bless them as they embark on what promises to be fruitful ministry at home and abroad!

We have some serious decisions to make in terms of how we budget our time between now and June 22 (the start of the 53rd General Assembly of the PCA). Like, do I read through all 900+ pages of the Commissioner's Handbook? Do I write digests/guides of stuff? OR Do I sing parodies?

@ZGroff We have plenty of people who can read handbooks, and write guides. I only know one who can sing a parody worth singing. Are we really discussing this? 😂

The men of Antioch are committed to being men of God and men of the Covenant. In June, we'll be having a workday to cut up some downed trees and remove debris. It's gonna be great as we seek to follow the masculine mandate of Gen. 2:15 - to cultivate and to keep.

I would caution those who might have an interest in reading this. It isn’t as academic as I had hoped. Still reading someone’s ranting can be entertaining.

Okay so this book is wild. Idk much about Gary North but this reads like a ranting Substack. He clearly isn’t familiar with Presbyterian history as he claims the BCO and Directory of worship were “secondary supplemental documents.” He also takes several pot shots @ReallyOldLife

Our church had a very godly grandmother figure who mentored younger women (à la Titus 2). She never went to seminary. Rather, she sat under the preaching of a godly minister for years, was married to a godly husband, and regularly read the Bible & other books. This is the way.

In reading the new PCA directory, if you gave me the choice whether to constitutionalize the old one (from the 1970’s) or the new one I’d take the new one in a second. Great Job Directory Committee!

We need more men in all areas of public service and life, or else the commonwealth in all its manifold expressions will wither away. We need to present a domestically oriented vision of the good life for women, or else American homes will wither away. These imbalances in higher education may not be replicated in the trades or the military (due to physical unfeasibility), but the reality of them in society’s formative institutions is bad news for civilization.

Turf is the worst

A true highlight and gift to the assembly is the work completed by the DFW committee. This committee has produced a unifying DFW. Let us rally around it to complete this legacy project to the honor and glory of Christ. @AdrielTweets @nateshurden @joel_stclair
