@FYang_EP Gold handled needle drivers are sturdier because they are made from tungsten carbide. @rbarbosa91 has great tweetorials on surgical instrument history and use. Super helpful for those of us that use them but never did general surgery training.

#EPeeps show us ur implant tray! And what special tools u prefer? I love my Gelpi retractor and the gold handled needle driver. German precision instruments. Small handles for precise work. I replicated this tray from my days of training at Montefiore--Sy Furman's tray

@PierreEliasMD @JACCJournals Fantastic study. You all went above and beyond with not only developing an impressive model, but also sharing your code and doing saliency mapping to provide some insight into what ValveNet actually looks at! Congratulations and thank you for sharing.

Out today in @JACCJournals, our ValveNet study shows a ML model can detect mod-severe left sided valve disease from ECG. This model is currently running live in our health system daily. Now let me tell you everything wrong with it! A brief 🧵 bit.ly/3boQBRs

#eppees how many pvcs are too many? if the patient is asymptomatic w/ normal EF? Discussing with some of our @DukeCardiology today. What do you think? Example 73 y.o. male. 22% burden found incidentally on holter. Neg. Stress. No s/s.

@tony_breu Unsynchronized cardioversion can cause VF, which is treated with another unsynchronized shock

Sometimes the thing that CAUSES a condition is then used to TREAT that same condition. I can think of two: ➤Corticosteroids cause PJP and are then used to treat (severe) PJP ➤Epinephrine causes VT/VF and is then used to treat cardiac arrest What are some other examples?

@HeartRhythmNP Haha, I took that same picture! I thought it was a good summary of the current evidence and I liked the patient/treatment matrix for thinking about where the data is.
