Happy, optimistic, quick to crack a dumb joke. Enjoy pointing out the endless hypocrisy of the Left.

So far, the regime change operation has been a COMPLETE FAILURE. There is no evidence that the Iranian regime is collapsing in the short term. Why it is holding: Security apparatus intact: IRGC, Basij and intelligence services remain operational and cohesive. No signs of fragmentation. Controlled escalation: strike data shows Iran can still sustain and even increase output (recent surge), which implies command continuity and remaining stockpiles. Economic shock ≠ regime fall: Iran has operated under severe sanctions for years; revenue loss hurts, but does not automatically translate into regime breakdown. Repression capacity: the state still has the means to contain unrest if it emerges.

@Remroum This stupid mentality is why Palestinians will forever be poor and miserable. Either accept Israel and move on with building a prosperous independent nation or waste your life fighting over dirt.

Tel Aviv shouldn’t exist. Israel shouldn’t exist. The concept of Israeli should be abolished. The land is Palestine. The people are Palestinian. The land should be returned to its people. The only way forward is through the dismantlement of Zionism, from the river to the sea

@HedgeDirty Except it starves us too. Unless Venezuela's becoming the 51st state and we have a whole lot of CDU systems laying around ready to go in the next three months and also we're just going to genocide the entire 3rd world. China's the only competition and we're not starving them.

If you genuinely, seriously believe we're about to start the final sprint to AGI, then a war which starves the entire world *except* the United States of electric power becomes cold-blooded realpolitik

A Russian tanker carrying 730,000 barrels of oil is heading for Cuba right now, due to arrive at the end of the month. This will provide a lifeline to the Cuban people who have been suffering electricity blackouts imposed by the US. bloomberglinea.com/2026/03/18/la-…

White men invented taking pride in doing labor. This is the #1 reason why sub-Saharan Africa never developed on its own. The Blacks prefer idling around all day because labor is below them. Fast-foward to 2026: most Africans in countries such as Germany are on welfare because labor is below them. You can't have a society like that.

I’m a big guy. I’ve been lifting weights for ten years. I look intimidating, I guess. I was at Planet Fitness doing bench presses. I noticed a kid in the corner. He was maybe 16, really overweight. He was looking around like he was terrified someone was going to laugh at him. He walked over to the dumbbells, picked up the lightest ones, and did a few awkward curls. He stopped, looked in the mirror, and hung his head. He was about to leave. He looked like he was about to quit before he even started. I racked my weights and walked over to him. He flinched when he saw me coming. He thought I was going to make fun of him. 'Hey man,' I said. He looked down. 'I’m leaving, sorry.' 'No,' I said. 'I was just gonna say, your form is a little off. You’re gonna hurt your back.' I picked up a weight. 'Tuck your elbows. Like this. Slow down.' He copied me. 'There you go,' I grinned. 'That’s the muscle working.' We trained together for an hour. I showed him the ropes. At the end, he wiped the sweat off his forehead. 'I almost walked out,' he admitted. 'I felt stupid.' 'We all started somewhere,' I told him. 'I used to be 50 pounds heavier than you. The only bad workout is the one you didn't do.' He’s been my gym partner for six months now. He’s down 40 pounds. Strength isn't about how much you can lift. It’s about lifting others up with you. Anonymous

This is the most sensible take I've read

For people not really following the 'regime erosion' element of the Iran War: - Israel has been killing Basij (internal paramilitary/gestapo) at their checkpoints, headquarters, etc. - This was causing notable erosion in checkpoints and attendance - Reza Pahlavi requested that Iranians celebrate Chaharshanbe Suri, kind of a Persian New Years Eve type celebration, which has historically been a time of protest against the regime (and has pre-Islamic/Zoroastrian roots that may be considered heretical by mullahs). - It is possible that a bunch of the top remaining guys in basij/IRGC (Larijani was between main govt and IRGC...) gathered together to discuss how to deal with this. They got bombed. Whoops. - There was chatter about how the Israelis were asking for this but that it would be a slaughter. No such thing happened. - While a couple people were shot, there were apparently celebrations throughout many large cities, and Israel sent drones to harass any squads of Basij forming up to interfere. In my -uninformed- view this was a test run of erosion of command and control, morale, organization. Throughout all this Israel has been calling Basij commanders on their cellphones and, well, threatening to kill them. Next: Pahlavi has requested that tomorrow, people go to the graves of the 'Lion and Sun' martyrs. This is, I think, a next test. My expectation is we will continue to see these eroding steps taken to see how much Basij and IRGC command and control have been broken down. Completely uninformed except reading Persian and diaspora twitter quite a bit the last couple weeks.

There is a witches convention coming to town and there’s an internal debate amongst a group at my Church. Half of us want to go the convention to pray outside it with Rosary prayers & hymns. The other half are fearful & say it could put us in spiritual danger. What do you say?

🚨After 29 hours, our electrical system is fully operational again. In Latin America, it can take weeks to restore national electrical grids. The fact that Cuban electrical workers accomplished this in such short time is a testament to the tenacity, and ingenuity of our people.

Lebanon is a perfect model of what happens when two civilizations share geography without sharing a political philosophy. It’s a small country, same language, same food, same weather, same ancient history. No walls. No checkpoints. But each community, Christian and Muslim, lives behind invisible civilizational lines. They don’t mix in political life, educational life, or social life. These lines have existed since the Ottomans, and they hardened after the civil war. The Christian areas built their society around a European-influenced political culture: secular schools, mixed-gender social norms, individual rights, and a relatively open civic space. The Muslim areas built "Islamic society". The result is not “diversity," but dual sovereignty inside one state. In 2023, the country literally split into two time zones during daylight-saving time, one Muslim and one Christian. Neighbors who live in the same building had different times. It was an honest reflection of two separate civilizational logics refusing to follow the same clock. Lebanon is a failed state because it tried to fit two incompatible political visions under one flag. The West is repeating Lebanon’s experiment but pretending it will end differently. There is no historical precedent for that working.
