Hey Bob's Bar Bengaluru, why must customers key in their phone number and validate it via OTP before they can even place an order? A beer and a bite shouldn’t require surrendering personal data. The Government of India’s Department of Consumer Affairs has already advised businesses not to insist on mobile numbers as a mandatory precondition for sale or billing, and that such data should only be collected with express consent.

Does this mean earlier they looted: ₹30,000 crores every month ₹3.6 lakh crores every year ₹18 lakh crores in 5 years by refusing to pass on the benefit of lower crude oil prices to the public? Where did all that money go? Indians paid record fuel prices for years while governments and oil companies stayed silent. Tell us the truth instead of lecturing citizens every single time.
Rishi Bagree@rishibagree

PSU and Govt losing ₹30000 crore every month because Modi govt decided not to pass the fuel hike to the public. Every Country has hiked fuel prices by 25-30%. Looks unsustainable if this conflict last for another 3 months.

An Indian woman deleted her husband, and the court gave her a ₹500 fine and one month in jail. She stabbed his neck so hard the knife reached his lungs. The court said she was angry, not intentional. Laws for women, meanwhile for men...

A husband lost his life after being stabbed in the neck during a matrimonial dispute at his wife’s parental house, suffering fatal internal injuries that damaged his lungs, ribs, and blood vessels. While the Telangana High Court upheld the wife’s conviction for causing his death, the Court ultimately reduced her 4-year imprisonment sentence to only a ₹500 fine after treating the incident as a “spur of the moment” act during a sudden quarrel. The case has raised serious concerns over how male victims of domestic violence and matrimonial conflicts are often left without meaningful justice even after losing their lives. @MumbaichaDon @ShashiTharoor @annamalai_k @annamalai_k ji, that one voter you asked for: x.com/krithikasivasw… I agree there may be no malice involved. but categorical sweeping statements are not helpful
krithika sivaswamy@krithikasivasw

So, despite submitting my SIR forms diligently and verifying that my name along with my parents’ , appeared in the draft roll (including updated serial and part numbers), I discovered today that only my name has been deleted from the final list at the booth. My parents’ names remained intact, and they were able to vote. What followed was a completely frustrating and unaccountable process. From 8 AM to 12 PM, I ran between multiple offices. The BLO was unavailable. I was redirected to the taluk office, where the returning officer casually stated, “Your name was deleted later. Sorry. Check with BLO later post election. ” No explanation. When I pressed for answers, I was redirected back to the booth. A complete dead end. No one could explain why my name was removed at the last minute. No one could offer a solution. There is simply no mechanism in place to address such errors. This reflects a deeply flawed and poorly managed process. While political parties may trade blame, the ultimate responsibility lies with the Election Commission of India @ECISVEEP to ensure a transparent, accountable, and user-friendly system. At the very least, a basic notification to mail/mobile should be sent when a voter’s name is deleted, along with the reason. Ironically, despite supporting the SIR process aimed at removing fraudulent entries, I myself cant vote today My fundamental right to vote has been denied due to systemic incompetence. The irritating part is when some officer simply tells me to come back later and include the name again like "not a big deal".

If you guys all oppose him together, it means you don't like him to do good to the public ? Or if he comes to power you people will not be able to loot money from the public.. Why 🤷‍♂️?? What is the reason ??

Udhayanidhi looks visibly upset, annoyed, and uncomfortable as the Chief Minister takes oath! Udhayanidhi thought he could easily become Chief Minister purely because of his lineage, without hard work, sincerity, or vision. Due to Udhayanidhi's god-like attitude and his tendency to treat Tamil Nadu like a fiefdom, Tamil voters used @actorvijay and his @TVKVijayHQ as tools to give @arivalayam a royal drubbing, with even his father and the sitting Chief Minister himself losing his own seat. Now, Udhayanidhi seems to be in denial about everything that has transpired over the past week. He looks visibly upset, irritated, and uncomfortable as the @CMOTamilnadu takes oath. What a spectacular fall from grace for the sorry loser Udhayanidhi. BTW, he blocked me for my pointed questions about his non-performance as an MLA, Sports Minister, and Deputy CM!
Dr. Praveen Vijaykumar@DrPraveenwrites

Much-awaited Vijay vs Udhay! Udhayanidhi enters the Assembly as the Leader of the Opposition and will address Chief Minister Joseph Vijay as “மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களே!” That will be fun to watch!

A farmer named Chokkanna Gowda taken ₹50,000 loan from Canara Bank which is being cleared. But he got numerous messages & calls from bank for an “outstanding due” of just ₹9.34. His new loan was even put on hold. Frustrated He visited the bank & paid ₹10. Then demanded his 66 paise balance back on stamp paper. Bank said amounts below ₹1 can’t be processed in system. So he filed a legal case for 66 paise. His reply was legendary: “If banks count every paisa from us, why shouldn’t we count ours too?”

One of the most disappointing airports in India is Chennai International Airport - Kamaraj Domestic Terminal. I fail to understand the logic behind forcing passengers to board a buggy with their luggage and travel to another building just to get a taxi. The system appears poorly thought out and unnecessarily inconvenient, especially after a tiring flight. I witnessed several senior citizens struggling with the process and clearly uncomfortable with the arrangement. While the staff managing the buggy service and driving the vehicles were courteous and helpful, good behaviour cannot compensate for flawed planning. Airports are meant to improve passenger convenience, not complicate something as basic as exiting the terminal.

We went to a Taj Hotel with friends expecting a normal dinner outing… 🍽️✨ but one small detail in the bill completely changed the mood. 😳 After checking the menu, the prices looked reasonable, so we ordered two meal plates without thinking much. A few minutes later, the food arrived. Everything looked premium, the taste was great, and everyone was enjoying the dinner. 😊 Once we finished eating, we asked for the bill. Total amount: ₹340. At first, it looked completely normal. But while checking the bill carefully, one item suddenly caught our attention… Mineral Water — ₹19 💧 The surprising part? Nobody at the table had specifically ordered bottled water. When we questioned the staff, the reply was: “Sir, we usually serve this along with the meal.” But that’s exactly the issue. If something is chargeable, customers should be informed beforehand. The choice should always belong to the customer. After a short discussion, the extra water charge was finally removed from the bill. Now ₹19 may sound like a very small amount… but imagine if the same thing happens with 100 customers every single day. That becomes ₹1,900 daily… and around ₹50,000 a month from something many people never consciously agreed to buy. 😶 This isn’t really about ₹19. It’s about transparency. Customers don’t usually mind paying when they know what they’re paying for. But adding items without clearly informing people is what creates frustration. The amount may be small… but honesty in billing matters much more. ⚠️

@ShivrattanDhil1 I had an interesting experience at a place that was 16000 feet above MSL. this was after a few days acclimatization at 12000 feet. I was feeling "completely fine" like at ground level. But vitals showed heart rate of 132 and high BP

People in India still don’t understand what acclimatization really means, or how important water and oxygen are, and where we are heading with this careless travel culture. Watching reels and suddenly leaving for extreme high-altitude places is dangerous. I stayed at Umling La for almost two hours despite having medical issues, while many people can’t even stay there for 10 minutes all because I properly acclimatized, started drinking 2–3 litres of water two days before the journey, and understood how the body adapts. The worst cases are people who directly reach 18,000 ft from the plains without giving their body any time to adjust. High altitude is not a joke. Your body needs gradual adaptation, awareness, and experience built over years. But who is guiding people? No one. People just watch reels and leave. Always read about the place you are travelling to the altitude, temperature, oxygen levels, road conditions and always talk to locals before heading into extreme regions! 🙏🏻
Rattan Dhillon@ShivrattanDhil1

For the people travelling to high-altitude regions please understand how dangerous altitude can be. At Shinkula Pass, around 15,000 feet, a family got stranded for hours with a 6-month-old baby who suddenly became unconscious and unresponsive. The family had no idea it was due to the lack of oxygen and the extreme altitude. Thankfully, someone aware of altitude sickness immediately gave oxygen to the child, and within seconds the baby started crying again. A few seconds of help literally saved a life. People travelling uphill must read and learn about altitude sickness. Low oxygen levels and AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) can be dangerous even for healthy adults imagine the risk for a 6-month-old child. Please avoid taking very small children to such extreme altitudes. Before travelling: • Stay properly hydrated • Consult doctors and carry medicines like Diamox if advised • Always carry an oxygen cylinder, no matter how confident you are • Read about the location and ask locals before heading further uphill This time angels came to save the child. But not every story ends the same way🙏🏻
