I must strive to live forever, for I seek to understand the ultimate truth of life and universe.

I’ve always believed the No.1 application of AI should be to improve human health. That work started with AlphaFold, and now at @IsomorphicLabs with the mission to reimagine drug discovery and one day solve all disease! We are turbocharging that goal with $2.1B in new funding.

It’s no secret that we intend to launch Starship a lot, targeting thousands of flights per year. That cadence will require the ability to launch from many different locations, so we are constantly exploring to find viable sites to expand Starship operations in the future, both domestically and internationally

You dont want a yacht. You dont want a big house. You dont want a super car, a $40,000 watch, or shoes you worry about getting dirty. You want free will. You want to wake up naturally on a Tuesday and you want to go to bed when you’re done having fun. You want to say yes to everything that excites you without having to request time off. You want to go to the the gym at noon, in absolutely no hurry. You want to spend 18 hours a day doing what you love. You want to be exactly where you desire being, always. You want to spend as much time with the people you care about as possible. You’re saying you wanna be rich? In what?

The Starbucks CEO made $97 million in 2024. The median Starbucks barista made $14,674. That's a 6,666/1 ratio. a barista would have to have started working 4,643 years before Jesus was born to earn what the CEO made in a single year.

JUST IN: SpaceX aims at $7.5 trillion valuation, a million-person Mars colony and space data centers

I’m conflicted. On one hand, I respect people who follow rules and help maintain a civilized society. On the other, when I see pedestrians waiting obediently at a crosswalk with no cars in sight simply because the light hasn’t changed, I can’t help but think Ted Kaczynski was right about humans becoming slaves to technology.

You’re missing the part where Elon demanded that the non-profit gets folded into Tesla. (He was for a for-profit move.) They say “no thanks. We’ll keep the non-profit and spin out a for profit.” The non-profit part is now one of the most well-funded non-profits in the world. Other than that, spot on Jarvis.

Literally just having a delusional golden retriever mindset measurably changes outcomes and physiology. Sleep badly? Convince yourself you're well rested. Stressful day? Convince yourself it's fuel. Failed? Convince yourself it's useful data.

This collective suicide of humanity needs to turn around!

a tech opinion you can defend like this?

Ray Kurzweil basically nailed the date AI would pass the Turing Test. What's interesting, says @PeterDiamandis, is what Kurzweil's predicting next: Longevity escape velocity by 2033 and high-bandwidth brain-computer interfaces by 2035. "He [predicted the Turing Test outcome] with the math. He was looking at doubling rates. He actually looked back in time to look at what was happening, and what were the doubling rates." "Moore's Law is a certain part of it. It's basically integrated circuits. But he has something called the Law of Accelerating Returns, and he applies it to everything." "These are extraordinary futures coming our way. It's like we're speedrunning every science fiction movie ever made."
