1/ Here are my thoughts on the $SUI ecosystem after being here for over a year and being inspired by Matteo to write this on my phone. This isn’t meant to spread FUD — just my honest perspective. SUI is my last chain. I’m all in. If SUI isn’t the future, I’ll simply leave Web3.
The Walrus airdrop still doesn’t make sense to me. It honestly hurts to think about. At the time, I held a million SUI tokens, did every pre-mainnet quest, wore the Walrus PFP for weeks, and even bought over 800 Walrus Explorer NFTs, held countless other JPEGs as well. Yet not a single dollar was airdropped to me. It’s not about the money — it’s about the spirit of DeFi and rewarding those who actually use the products. The airdrop felt hand-picked for friends, and many dumped immediately. It wasn’t given to the people who truly believed in the tech or helped build the early culture.
I feel like we’ve gone backward in front-end development. Early on, we had the Suiba Telegram bot — it worked perfectly, just like Bonk Bot on Solana. Since then, projects have tried to reinvent things that didn’t need reinventing. This isn’t shade at anyone, just an observation. Move Pump worked fine on Dex Screener, so why do we have so many issues now? What’s truly improved in the last year? It feels like front-end quality has declined instead of advanced.
Then there’s the lack of transparency about Magic Eden. Why didn’t we ever get a straight answer on NFT marketplace direction? We were stuck between supporting TradePort or waiting for Magic Eden. All anyone wanted was honest communication. Instead, it felt like radio silence, and the community was left guessing.
The SUI Play handheld was supposed to be a huge moment — a Web3 gaming device that integrates with dynamic NFTs through Anima Labs. What we got was a Web2 console that can only run Web3 games after they’re listed on Steam or Epic. How does a Web3 device launch without any native Web3 games? I was so excited for it, imagined everyone playing together in Spaces, but now buyers are stuck waiting half a year before it can do what was promised. It’s like launching an iPhone without an App Store. The idea was brilliant, but the execution killed the hype.
We need to focus on building apps that actually use what makes SUI unique. Every project here should push the tech to its limit instead of copying what’s been done elsewhere. Clones from other chains won’t survive. Build things that are only possible on SUI.
In the early days, my presence on X wasn’t big, and it was obvious the community was gate-kept by a small circle of ambassadors. That kind of structure shut out passionate builders and genuine believers. We’re feeling the effects now — it left a bad taste in people’s mouths. Web3 is supposed to be open. Let’s act like it.
The messaging also needs to improve. Stop teasing “big things” unless they’re actually big relative to the wider Web3 space. Overhyping small updates burns trust. Be clear, be honest, and let the work speak for itself.
Some of the topics we’re discussing on SUI feel outdated. I couldn’t believe people were debating IP rights in 2025 like it’s a new issue. This was settled years ago across the industry. Just because SUI is a new chain doesn’t mean we start over from zero. Look at the collections on TradePort — dozens use copyrighted characters like Spider-Man. Do we really care about IP rights or not? We should move forward with modern standards, not rewind to old debates.
The constant DEX hacks connected to SUI also need addressing. Even if the base chain isn’t hacked, projects financially supported or promoted by SUI reflect on the chain. How are we funding or backing anything that involves user funds without full audits? Every exploit chips away at trust, and trust is everything in this space.

Wen you sold the bottom of $ZNN to flip memes that zero'd, but #Zenon kept building and phase 1 is being re-priced without you

Zenon Maxxing isn’t about price
It’s about preparing for a post-nation state world
While they argue over inflation targets, we bootstrap quantum resistance, self-sovereign infra, and the next layer of civilization
$ZNN is the ark, the cycle is closing
