Vance: "If you're an American citizen and you've been to the hospital in the last few years, you've probably noticed that wait times are especially large and very often somebody who's there in the ER is an illegal alien. Why do those people get healthcare benefits at hospitals paid for by American citizens?"

Cancer changes a person’s life, but survivorship defines it. As National Cancer Survivors Month comes to an end, I am thankful to @AACR for providing access to our Major Symposium at the annual meeting on Redefining Cancer Survivorship for People Living with Advanced and Metastatic Cancers. It was an incredible honor to work with (and always learn from) @ShelMollica and @Areejmd. You can watch the session here vimeo.com/1094229009 If a treatment keeps you alive but strips away your identity, independence and ability to enjoy time with your family - is that really survival? IMO, our session was the most important session of the meeting - It was a call to redefine survivorship and success in cancer care. Living with cancer is not the same as surviving cancer. It’s a distinction that needs to be acknowledged and understood, and research needs to reflect this reality. #survonc #Survivorship #QOL #LCSM #AACR25 #pallonc

Important awareness piece by @BBCNews reminding us that lung cancer is on the rise in people who have never smoked. These are different types of lung cancer and we’re still learning why they occur: radon, pollution, unknown. All of us are at risk. bbc.com/future/article…
