The Constitution of Zimbabwe is sacrosanct, it is a product of the will of the people. In 2013, the majority of Zimbabweans said YES. It is a national consensus, a binding social contract, and a collective agreement on how we are governed. Such a document cannot be altered casually or conveniently. Any amendment must strictly follow its own provisions, including the will of the people through a referendum. We will guard this Constitution jealously. We will defend it, protect it, and uphold the agreement it represents. #NoTo2030 #DefendTheConstitution

Cde, you might be innocently doing your bidding for your guy @nelsonchamisa, which is good, he needs your support, but do so based on accurate information. If he is sending you to attack and besmirch real and perceived political opponents, it is imperative you ask him to give you accurate accounts of some of the things you are using to attack his political foes. I want to correct you on one thing you mentioned in your X post that I have quoted herein for easy of reference. Those who have "reliably informed" you that "Hopewell also has a very close relationship with ED's wife, the First Lady", should have told you the genesis of that relationship. As you put it, "Hopewell ALSO has a close relationship with ED's wife", did you take time to ask who else has the same relationship with ED's wife? If your source was as reliable as you are claiming here, he/she should have told you that your guy, @nelsonchamisa, ALSO "has a close relationship with ED's wife, the First Lady." Chamisa is the one who introduced Hopewell to Auxillia Mnangagwa. I will give you the details and pictures of the meeting which started the purported relationship you are going to town about. Chamisa organized a meeting for him to meet with Benson Muneri, Auxillia Mnangagwa's aide, and requested Hopewell to host the meeting at his house in Chisipite, Harare. At the meeting, your guy, @nelsonchamisa, asked Hopewell to go and meet Auxillia, on his behalf, for a political deal. Anyway, I will not delve into details about the deal but suffice to say your guy is very liquid as we speak. Two months ago, he drove to some farm in Mashonaland West with $1 million cash in his car intending to pay for the farm. The owner was scared of handling such a huge amount of cash. He instructed your guy to deposit the money with his lawyer in Harare. That's where things became interesting. It turned out the seller's lawyer is an old human rights lawyer known to Chamisa through years of interaction in the democratic struggle. Chamisa, fearing that his little secret, that he is keeping millions of dollars in cash, chickened out of the deal the moment he learnt the seller's lawyer was this renowned female human rights lawyer. So, that's your guy, he is keeping millions of dollars in cash like he is one of the Zvigananda. So when you talk about people with "a relationship with ED's wife", remember, your guy has a very strong one with the same First Lady. They call each other brother and sister because they're both of the Moyo totem but the relationship sometimes turns to amaiguru-bamunini when ethnic Karanga politics is invoked. Saka kupotsera dope, rimwe rinosara muruoko my brother.

The last of today's instalment. I am reliably informed that Hopewell also has a very close personal relationship with ED's wife, the First Lady. It is an open secret that she is an ex-intelligence operative. What is the nature of that relationship & how does one credibly oppose Agenda 2030 while patronising the wife of that very leader? How does he safeguard the sensitive intel he gets from opposition leaders like Biti in his dealings with her? Why is his default MO driving wedges between opposition leaders rather than bringing them together, exploiting his proximity to them to post what they disclose to him in secret to toxify their relations? The only person that benefits from Hopewell's relentless anti-Chamisa crusade is ED, as he is effectively left with no credible political opponent on the ground while pursuing Agenda 2030. Let's say everything he says about Chamisa is correct. The point still remains that there was a sham election which affected all voters, including non-Chamisa supporters. Is there any reason why Hopewell, with his large following, could not have agitated with the same zeal he showed against Chamisa's leadership - but this time in support of a SADC mandated fresh election while castigating Chigumba & ED for the sham election? Where is the filter, restraint or outrage? You support a coup without reservations & do PR for it & yet express unrelenting outrage for the claimed absence of a mere party constitution? Is there consistency there? What is the objective reason for the uneven approach? You can't say on one hand you lead a relentless delegitimisation crusade against an opposition leader competing in an uneven field which results in his party collapsing, & on the other you compel him to join forces with the very culprits responsible for his party's collapse & enabling Agenda 2030 & criticise him for refusing to be abused. It's gross irrationality, perverse & rank madness!

This is an interview that was conducted by @bbmhlanga of @HStvNews. In it, Tshabangu clearly identifies Biti, Ncube & Hwende as amongst those he was working with. Ncube later expressly stated that they knew Tshabangu in a CCC presser. To the best of my knowledge, there was no rebuttal from Biti or litigation from any of them seeking to hold Tshabangu to account for that claim on account of it being a falsehood. Tshabangu had a FAZ team that he was working with to carry pit his assignment. We know the damage he did & the objective he was pursuing was Agenda 2030. So there is a clear nexus there. Given this development, the criticism that some of us have levelled at the door of those that are now claiming to fight in defence of the Constitution appears to be reasonably justified & proportionate. It's for them to allay our fears, not the other way round. There is nothing controversial about this. Democratic societies have to be comfortable with robust debates! Credibility, clarity & consistency matters, especially where the moral high ground is being claimed!

Paul Mangwana's allegiance hasn't changed since he was involved in the process. He represented ZANU-PF then and he still does now. It irks you that he speaks very well where as the reality is those two speak as leaders of parties that were decimated ages ago. MDC died with Tsvangirayi (MHSRIP) and the NCA is a non entity whose leader hass been at the helm for 25 years and has nothing to show for it. Those are the people you want us to put our trust in. They don't want to put in the work and that's the truth

The True Meaning of Universal Adult Suffrage in the Constitution of Zimbabwe (2013): In the important national conversation on the Constitution of Zimbabwe (Amendment No. 3) H.B. 1 Bill, 2026, there’s a needless misunderstanding that “universal adult suffrage”—the principle demanded as “one man, one vote” during the hard-won armed liberation struggle—requires the presidential election to be conducted through a direct popular voting system. This is simply not true. Universal Adult Suffrage is explicitly protected in Chapter 4 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, under the Declaration of Rights. Section 67(3)(a) makes it crystal clear that: “Subject to this Constitution, every Zimbabwean citizen who is of or over eighteen years of age has the right to vote in all elections and referendums to which this Constitution or any other law applies, and to do so in secret.” This provision is about empowering every eligible adult citizen with an equal voice at the ballot box, cast in complete secrecy. It guarantees the right to vote; but it does not prescribe or lock Zimbabwe into any particular voting system—whether direct or indirect. Two powerful facts bring this home and reveal the real value of the amendment in the Bill. First, for the past 46 years, the only Zimbabweans denied this fundamental right have been citizens living in the Diaspora. The Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Ziyambi Ziyambi, has already announced that one of the major electoral dividends of the Constitution of Zimbabwe (Amendment No. 3) H.B. 1 Bill, 2026 will be the long-overdue extension of the right to vote to Zimbabweans outside the country. This step will finally make the right to vote truly inclusive, ensuring that no citizen is disenfranchised or left with no electoral voice simply because they live beyond the country’s borders. Second, the universal adult suffrage clause in section 67 is deliberately silent on the choice of voting mechanism. Zimbabwe’s elections have always included both direct and indirect voting systems since 1980, depending on the office in question. To be clear: confusing “one man, one vote” with a mandatory direct-voting model misreads the fundamental law of the land. Embracing the true meaning of universal adult suffrage or "one man one vote", honours both the national liberation struggle and the Constitution, strengthens national unity, and moves everyone forward with clarity and confidence!
