@Noahpinion Fewer less-capable people going to college would be a good thing, and we should do whatever we can to encourage this. Less-selective liberal arts colleges serve little purpose, and hopefully most will soon cease operation.

UBI discourse on here is so frustrating because my idea for UBI is nothing like what people typically think of as “UBI” I don’t think AI will cause mass unemployment. Instead, my proposal for UBI is that it would completely replace all social spending (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, all welfare programs, federal student loan program) - with the goal of *reducing* federal spending, eliminating waste, reducing the debt, and getting tax dollars back to the people who earned them. Nothing to do with AI

“UBI” is obviously nowhere near the panacea many of you seem to think it is. The median left-leaning Westerner isn’t angry at Elon Musk because he can buy a million times more groceries than them. They aren’t upset with Palantir because Peter Thiel can afford to eat a thousand burgers to their one. This whole thing is in large part post-material. It’s the hierarchy & subordination they’re uncomfortable with. They feel their dignity is being trampled and their autonomy progressively diminished – rightly or wrongly they feel politically disenfranchised and stripped of a say over the future. Offering a guaranteed food budget and a pod to spend the night in return for further disempowerment is incredibly tone-deaf and should be expected to provoke more, not less, outrage.

None of this is even remotely true. Where on earth are you getting 6.2 trillion from? Also even if it *did* generate $6.2 trillion in additional tax revenue, I assume that’s over 10 years - which is $620 billion per year. That’s not even enough to cover the current annual *deficit* much less pay for all of these programs you want. Stop lying to people for engagement on twitter

California is trying to pass a bill that would criminalize investigative journalism with misdemeanors, $10,000 fines, imprisonment, and content takedown. The proposed bill is titled AB 2624 and was made after I exposed mass fraud by immigrant groups in America. Under AB 2624, government-funded entities like the Somali “Learing” Daycare centers would be protected from being exposed if they operated inside California. The enemy truly is within. When our politicians would rather protect fraudsters and illegal migrants, it’s time for us to stand up or face mass oppression from the traitors who “rule” over us.
