“Our country has spent close to $30B on war killing people in the Middle East. The returns? Images of our country bombing girls’ schools in Iran. “The same amount of money would be transformative for the lives of working class people.” –@NYCMayor

@skymagpie @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt He never gave any indication of intent to join. The alliance preemptively kidnapped his daughter, preemptively destroyed his fleet, and preemptively murdered him lmao. None of that makes him a horde member, just a victim of the alliance's remarkably stupid war campaign.

@Zoltronzero @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt But they murdered him because he was helping the Horde. We are going in circles but it's not changing the fact that he died because he was going to help the Horde and housed them in his kingdom. He died for the Horde's sins.

You see this in BFA, also. Saurfang's struggle is, in the end, pointless. Paving the way for a "new generation" (Zekhan) that is detached from the world and its history. Zekhan is a non-character. He is the concept of "inexperience" adorned in an aesthetic that doesn't fit him.

@skymagpie @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt Well that's what I'm saying. He was never a member of the Horde and letting them use the fleet as payment is not an indication he was going to join. The alliance just murdered him on the off chance he might and guaranteed his daughter and faction would.

@Zoltronzero @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt Yeah I've been saying that, it's probably one of the worst lore moments just as an excuse for us to raid another troll city. And after it ends we go fight N'zoth and Azshara right after and the war ends

@skymagpie @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt Genuinely, there was no good reason for them to. The only argument is as a preemptive strike against the possibility of the fleet's use. Which they destroy at the beginning of the raid. There's no good reason to sack Dazar'Alor after that, let alone kill the king.

@Zwulf @Zoltronzero @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt But the Alliance attacks him for helping the Horde and they conveniently shifted all the blame of previous Zandalari attacks (Cata and MoP) over to Zul. Rastakhan could've and probably would've been Horde if he didn't die, he stood his ground helping the Horde and they helped him

@skymagpie @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt There's no indication the zandalari would have joined the Horde with him alive since his murder is the reason they joined. He lived 200 years, longer than any individual troll in known history, without pledging to the Horde. Why would he start then?

✨ Magpie ✨@skymagpie·
@Zoltronzero @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt Yes and the Alliance killed him for helping the Horde and his daughter joined them, we can say that Rastakhan is retroactively a loss for the Horde because he would've joined in with the Zandalari if the Alliance didn't kill him. The Alliance killed him for helping the Horde.

@skymagpie @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt The alliance murdering him is explicitly why Talanji pledged to the horde. "We don't want them as an enemy so let's kill their leader and leave the successor" is remarkably stupid planning from alliance leadership.

@Zoltronzero @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt I mean if it's an insane reason to murder him, why else did they murder him? They did it so that the Zandalari won't join the war on the side of the Horde cause they had a strong fleet.

@Zoltronzero @skymagpie @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt I don’t understand like Rastakhan was never a member of the horde. I never once say he deserved what he got or that the alliance was in the right. But the initial post is a list of alive and dead “horde” members but it’s missing characters on both sides and includes unaligned

@skymagpie @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt I dont know what point you're trying to make. At no point in his life did he join the horde. He wasn't going to just give them a fleet, it was payment for helping with the blood trolls. Allowing the horde in his kingdom is an insane reason to murder him.

@skymagpie @Zwulf @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt He hadn't agreed to actually join. The Alliance had imprisoned his daughter and advisor while they were on a diplomatic mission seeking help, the horde rescued them, and even that wasnt enough to get him to join them. His murder by the alliance is why his daughter joined.

@Zwulf @Zoltronzero @SkjaegArt @tentakvlt The Alliance murdered him because he was going to be a member of the Horde. That's why they attacked Dazar'alor. Rastakhan died for housing the Horde during a war and promising them his fleet. His daughter is a Horde leader. So he counts for all the above reasons.

Apple has removed Lebanese village names in Southern Lebanon. As Israel invades, they are already setting the state to justify occupation. I’ve never seen something like this.

Sitting next to a grandmother having coffee with her 20-something grandson. She's trying to encourage him to pursue gainful employment. He's telling her about his new theory about the size of dragons. Grandparenting has gotten very confusing.
