I don’t think people were meant to be bombarded with so much stimulus all the time. A grocery store with carts rattling, and the worst top 40 songs from the last 25 years blaring, all while bathed in fluorescent light, is a very unpleasant environment. If people need to listen to a playlist or a podcast to get through it without raising their blood pressure, I think that’s fine.

I spent a lot of time this year by myself, sitting in the depths of grief & depression. I isolated myself from everyone. I have felt that I am a burden due to my mental health. I’m hoping in 2026 I find balance, get back on a routine & get back to being madly in love with life.

Quite the opposite actually. -If I had an off button, I wouldn't have learned how to manipulate faux fur, stitching, templating and how to make a helmet for Inosuke's boar helm. -If I had an off button I wouldn't have learned to turn foam into armor and weapons for Malenia. -If I had an off button, I wouldn't have learned leather working so I have the most authentic looking rawhide top and skirt for Professor Sada. -If I had an off button, I wouldn't have learned how to make body molds to make an accurate head cast with silicone and masonry so I could make wigs just right on a cast of my own head. -If I had an off button, I wouldn't have learned basic 3D modeling and 3D printing(built a DIY printer for this too, screw by screw in 2015, another skill) just to print out the perfect bullet earring for Meryl and Monster Hunter carving knives. -If I had an off button I wouldn't have learned color theory so I could more correctly match my painted parts, I also learned to hand paint and use airbrushes. -If I had an off button, I wouldn't have learned to sculpt clay so I could make negatives that allowed me to cast silicone and resin parts that wouldn't exist otherwise in the real world. See, you mistake creative inspiration for creative ability. My creative ability is unrelenting and tireless. It's a voracious hunger that drives me to learn and grow, develop skills to sate it, to make things that don't exist, exist. How about you pull up a seat at the table and try eating a real meal, instead of slop. Be genuinely creative and grow for once, I promise it's worth it.
