The Europeans are not dealing with “a man.” They are dealing with the United States of America. The United States needed the most innocuous kind of cooperation from them. What made them think that a Republican president would be on board with that? Were they convinced that we would never have a Republican president again?

Check polls in Poland about USA. USA use polish people trust in USA to gain numerous privileges (e.g., social media platforms, selling weapons etc) for essentially nothing. But that’s over now. Most of the public no longer trusts the U.S. And Poles used to be more pro-American than Americans themselves.

I regret that some NATO allies are denying us access to our bases in their countries. I also regret that the US president threatened to invade and annex NATO countries. This ridiculous Trump policy is obviously negatively impacting our national security now. I hope both of these issues within NATO can be overcome soon.

I do not defend Iranian regime which is definitely horrible but Trump spoke about Iran people… and also please remember who paved the way for the current regime to seize power in Iran by overthrowing a democratically elected prime minister in the 1950s and installing an incompetent shah?

@SenSchumer @RymMomtaz @SecRubio Congress and the Senate are currently a group of people who have about as much say in politics as the Russian Duma. Trump doesn’t care about you and does whatever he wants, and you lack the backbone (Republicans) and the strength (Democrats) to stand up to him.

I can promise this: The Senate will not vote to leave NATO and abandon our allies just because Trump is upset they wouldn’t go along with his reckless war of choice.   Thank you to @SecRubio for sponsoring the bill in 2023 requiring a two thirds vote of the Senate to make sure clueless presidents couldn’t act on a whim.
