This thread cracked me up. (It is a good thread btw) Most people don't understand that over 60% of Amazon sales happen from resellers. Yes Amazon sells a lot themselves. But market competition always drives pricing down. That's why we need Seller Snap, too keep our business from shutting down from being unprofitable.

Amazon raised ungating minimums to 100-400+ units. Even my account with $80M+ in sales gets invoices rejected. So I stopped using invoices altogether. Items sells Friday - at that time it is NOT considered a low inv fee items. Sunday - Amazon updates what items get low inv fee. Item ships Monday - Since Amazon charges the fee based on when it ships, even though you sold it Friday when not eligible for the fee, u get hit with the fee bc it SHIPS when in the low inv fee zone.

Does anyone actually KNOW if they pay low inventory fees? I think most people just ignore these fees and have no clue how they work which likely part of amazons plan. We usually have 10 to 15 skus each month outside of busy season and 15 to 30 during busy season eligible for low inv fees each week. We use Seller Snap to help identify and raise prices to avoid low inv fees when make sense. However, we still pay over $1k a month in low inv fees. Partly bc Amazon process is to charge you low inventory fees for items that sold that were not eligible for low inventory fees when they sold!

So when it comes to hiring two people at once I gotta question. Would it be smart to have live calls with both of them present so I don’t have to double my work load? I ask this bc if they know that they are being trained alongside someone else they will catch onto the fact that one person is gonna go. And the thing is that I wanna keep that pressure hidden to see which person is really a go getter. So lmk your opinions on this if u have experimented with it. Also how long should I wait before cutting one loose a month max is what I’m thinking

@joeypraete @CookingCashflow I tell my new hires the first 3 months is probation and I expect improvement, not perfection. I dont expect tons of leads in the first month. But I expect them to really grasp concepts. If they dont grow then fire them. Follow up weekly, monthly, etc

@joeypraete @CookingCashflow Just give them parameters for their hiring "We have a 3 month (or your desired timespan) probation period. We look for x and y skills and z improvement. People aren't always experts to start, but improvement matters most. Make a rubric. Make sure expectations are known

@FBA_Dylan Depends on your goals and major. Being an attorney, a nurse, a doctor. You need college Otherwise, I think its mostly a waste. Of money, time, etc You can teach yourself and become more competent on your own for all other things that don't legally require accreditations
