@TheGreat8Two3 Absolutely let them find a love for the game and improving themselves. Then when the coaches, teachers and developers come in they are refining and improving them. The foundation has already been set.

@_CoachRogers 🎯 when they show themselves, find ways to let them develop naturally through the youth years. Then find good coaches, teachers, and developers.

Youth athlete speed training has become complicated.(Speed treadmill, assisted electric over speed pulling, timing gates, expensive "gurus") Here's my template: Hill sprints Riding bikes Racing friends at P.E & on the weekends Jumping up/down stairs Sprinting downhills

@flowsdoc This is why kids need to play multiple sports. Stop focusing all your attention on one sport. Cross train, be athletic, it will help you grow in all things by being multifaceted.

After working with thousands of players, one thing is clear: The best players are the best movers.
Their swings are more athletic.
Their pitching and defensive motions are more athletic. Skill follows Athleticism and Baseball Flow — not the other way around.

@ValaAfshar Most people want something they currently don’t have. Many aren’t willing to put in the time to get it. Separate yourself and continue to push yourself.

@thewinningdiff1 Have to be able to challenge yourself internally to get better. It’s in these challenges that you will prepare yourself for the road ahead. Make sure you aren’t wasting your time while others are getting better.

@DeralMillerFB Wishing is like waiting for luck. The wait is what sets you back and the wish is what makes you comfortable waiting. Live in the uncomfortable, buy in and make those wishes come to you on your own.

@FirstdownX__Os LB’s hate counter. Hook, line and sinker. Great movement from the back to draw the defense to the backside.

@CoachdjCheetah In order to be elite these competitors have bought in to “the need for more.” They are never satisfied and are hungry to prove to them themselves that they are elite. They don’t feed on the praise from others that falls empty to their overall growth.

@CoachLisle Trusting something will work will only get you so far. Just like any relationship, you have to give time and effort to the process if you want to find success. It’s not organic, it takes hard work.

@CoachDShack Great example of a drill that could translate to the game. High frequency play, no, but this is repping something in order to make a play. Also working good hands in an unusual position. Love this.

When I coached 7v7 I was an extension of the high school coach . I built relationships with high school coaches . I made sure those guys knew I had their kids and I did a great job of teaching what they taught in many ways . If the high school coach taught press a certain way I kept it that way . I really went into offices and asked how can I help you . I learned 100 different ways to teach concepts on both sides of the ball cause I was a student . In return it led me to where I am today . Those coaches helped me as I helped them . It was never about me . Always about the kids . Some may disagree and that’s fine . I never was told no about a player and I was welcomed in many field houses . I truly believe most 7v7 coaches would trade 7v7 for Friday , Saturday , or Sundays on that sideline . Let’s get back to the kids . Fighting tournaments and beefing on twitter ain’t it . Us as men have 1 duty and that’s to do right by the players and helped them become better young men through sport . It’s a place for 7v7 , Trainers , High School Coaches , Agents and all that if we keep it about the players ! Not our own self interest.
