You won’t be able to switch from personal to a business one. You’ll have to create a new business account. The flow is different and requires and different vetting process. It’s a whole mess, but I managed to get my business dev account after a week. After you get your biz dev account, you can reupload your apps to the biz one and remove them from your personal account.

I plan to request a change to my developer account name so it reflects my company rather than my personal name. After yesterday’s fiasco I feel really unsafe. I should've done this ages ago.

If 80% of the market is outside the US, why are most indie apps English only?

@heyshashidev @seraleev So you’re acknowledging people hate Adobe for this kind of practice and still think this is a good idea? I mean if you’re willing to take the risk, go for it.

What does this actually give developers? 1) New conversion point Annual pricing, paid monthly. Removes the “I don’t want to pay a year upfront” objection. 2) Guaranteed 12-month LTV Cancel anytime, but payments continue until all 12 are done. Unlike regular monthly, cancellation doesn’t mean losing the user immediately. 3) Reliable path to Apple’s 15% commission After 12 consecutive months, Apple’s cut drops from 30% to 15%. This format makes hitting that threshold much more predictable. 4) Lower churn Users know they’re committed. Seeing remaining payments in Apple Account reduces impulse cancellations.
Viktor Seraleev@seraleev

Official: Monthly subscriptions with a 12-month commitment are now available on the App Store. Users pay monthly but commit to a full year. They can cancel anytime, the sub just won’t renew after all 12 payments are done. Remaining payments are visible in Apple Account and Apple SENDS reminders before each renewal.

people arguing about this; “it will confuse users” “this won’t improve conversion rates” I see where you’re coming from, BUT… there is one funny thing it will help with: decreased BILLING ERRORS believe it or not, a lot of your billing errors are people who don’t have $60 in their account, or have a spending limit, or have a weird international banking reg blocking apple, etc. billing your yearly sub across smaller amounts solves a lot of this tbh, this is HUGE if you have any teen audience

@Dikshantgajera Not quite. The real math is: 1 − (1 − p)^n. At 1% success rate over 100 tries, you’re at ~63%, not 100%. You only approach 100% if your probability improves each attempt.

Becoming successful is not luck. It’s math. If your probability of success is 1/100 and you try 100 times, you have a 100% chance of success.

@RaphaelAuriac Seeing as though you ripped off my business model, you seem to benefit from American “design” far more than it annoys you. 🙂

We're being spoiled. Wonder is the first AI design tool that actually feels like you're using Figma. I don't say that lightly. It feels insanely refined. Yet, everything you're designing is backed by actual code. This is the enivitable future of design.

@BradNewsworthy @aribk24 Guess whos getting sued? The landlord. Ever heard of the word contact? What do you expect when you’re breaking someone’s TOS/Rules/Guidelines. Very bad example. By the way, Apple is loosing money by banning Cal AI, 30% of each subscription.

You built your entire business on someone else's store and you're surprised they kicked you out? That's like renting an apartment and being shocked when the landlord changes the locks. My scraper doesn't need Apple's permission to run. It doesn't need a store. It runs in a terminal. Every morning. 7 AM. Nobody can ban it. Nobody can take it down. Because it's mine. On my laptop. In Perl. $100k a day lost because Apple said so. I lose $0 a day because I depend on nobody. Build on your own land. Brad Newsworthy

apple keeps a close eye to twitter another friend with over ($1.5m mrr on apple) attempted stripe got banned from appstore and took him 2 months to get back to the appstore(super rare) I do think Cal AI will be back relatively fast but each day gone is a loss of over ~$100k

@ios_dev_alb Absolutely not. Users are going to hate this so so much. Have you not seen the discourse around amazon's annual plan paid monthly. Constant hate.

iOS devs, what do you think of this new billing option? Users can pay for an annual plan in monthly installments, with a 12-month commitment. Would you test this? 🤔

if you're worried about copycats and competitors. just remember that most of them are like this guy, copying every app on x but still making $0.

I’m building something meaningful and need a talented illustrator to create custom mood illustrations for a mobile app. Warm, soulful, minimal. If your work has emotion and personality, I’d love to see it. Drop your work or DM me.

i'm right-handed. am i supposed to wear my watch on the right wrist, and try hit those tiny buttons with my left hand while the right one is in motion? cool concept but impractical.

Introducing Stroke Counter for Golf 🚀🏌️‍♂️ I got tired of those tiny plastic stroke counters. They break, get lost, and you end up buying new ones all the time. So I built Stroke Counter for Apple Watch. A simple way to count strokes from your wrist. Link in 🧵
