If I’m being honest, Carlos Baleba and Sandro Tonali would be my top midfield targets this summer. That’s the kind of midfield you can take into any away ground—whether it’s Anfield or the Emirates—without worrying about losing the battle in the middle of the pitch. If you pair those two with Mainoo or Bruno, you’re looking at a genuine, title-winning midfield. We’d be missing a massive opportunity if we don't land at least one of them.

If Tonali is really going to available this summer we should prioritise him over Baleba and Anderson. I don't care that his form has dipped these last two months. He's an elite player who would compliment Mainoo and Bruno F well due to his defensive security and ground coverage.

Honestly, I’m not losing sleep over us missing out on Jeremy Jacquet. That’s taking nothing away from him—he’s clearly a top-tier player—but we are genuinely stacked with talent at center-back right now, both in the academy and the first team. We have more than enough quality to cope.

United do this every year now. During January they brief that it's going to be a 'big' summer and exaggerate claims to excite the fans, distracting them from an awful January. When February begins they cool down on the original summer talk, lowering expectations.
