The smart money needs exit liquidity. The 401k is the exit liquidity.

@JasonHarmonNFL You continue to operate with the assumption that with enough time, McCarthy develops into a franchise QB. It’s a mistaken assumption. It’s just as possible they continue to throw him out there and he never hits.

The Vikings traded their 2024 and 2025 second round picks, and a 2024 sixth round pick to Houston for the 23rd pick in an attempt to package a trade for Drake Maye. When that didn’t work they traded the 2024 11th overall pick, and 2024 fourth and fifth round picks to move up one spot to get JJ McCarthy. Meaning they invested a first round pick, two second round picks, a fourth round pick, a fifth round pick, AND a sixth round pick in an attempt to find their young franchise QB. You don’t move off that after ten games played unless it’s for an undeniable LONG TERM upgrade.
