For the worm-types, the destination of the glucose-octopamine complex is CAN - whose function is essential but not well understood. CAN appears to have the capacity to release octopamine but not to make it itself, implying it acts like a neuron under certain circumstances. (5/6)

a personal update: in January, I'm moving to Yale to join @MCDB_Yale and to open my lab in the @WuTsaiYale Institute! We will investigate multicellular self-organization using synbio tools to read and write developmental signals in stem cell models. syndevbio.org

Our work on PPP2R3C-MAP3K1 at centrosomes is now out in @CurrentBiology! authors.elsevier.com/a/1jpcA3QW8S6G…. Now with more functional analyses (lethality of PPP2R3C KO or FOP KO is suppressed by MAP3K1 KO) and more beautiful U-ExM expansion microscopy by @Armanduuum and @CentrioleLab!
